Part 2:
The help to get Angel out

For another two weeks, Willow would go to school, go home and
sleep until 6pm when she would go to the library and research for
whatever it was that Giles needed. Then return home and would be
greeted by Maggie and Johnthan who would help her research for a way
to get Angel out of hell until she was too tired to read. Then the
vampires would leave and go back to their home and research a little
more. Maggie and Johnthan had helped so much with the research it was
unbelievable.
Finally at two thirty-two on September 27 Willow Anne
Rosenberg found the spell to bring back a slayer's worst enemy and one
of her best friends.  Angel would be brought back but she had one
slight problem.  She needed Giles help.

Then next morning Willow got to the library extra early so she
could talk to Giles by herself.  She had on her resolve face and was
ready for the battle of a lifetime.  She found Giles leaning over a
book by the counter.  She cleared her throat to get his attention.
"O' Willow. You're early this morning.  What can I help you
with?" Willow took a deep breath and prayed for understanding from the
Goddess.
"I need you to help me perform a spell." She blurted out.
Giles took off his glasses, pinched the bridge of his nose, and looked
at the small redhead.
"Willow, magic is not something that is to be played around
with, you do understand that, correct?" He waited for her to nod.
"Right then, what is this spell?" Willow swallowed hard and opened the
musty old book.
"It is a spell that will allow me to get Angel out of hell."
Giles promptly passed out.

Ten minutes later the library was nosier that the school cafeteria.
Xander was yelling at Willow about how wrong it was to bring back
"dead boy".  Giles was pacing and cursing.  Cordelia was screaming
that Willow was insane. And Faith, she just sat quietly, not saying a
word.  Willow for her own part was trying to figure out a way to
convince them that this was for the best, but was failing miserable.
"Willow how could you even think of that. "What about Buffy?"  That
was what Xander said that finally snapped Willow out of her reasoning
's mode and straight to pissed off.
"What about Buffy!? She left, she isn't coming back!  She left us to
fend for ourselves against the vampires, demons, and other baddies.
She's the slayer and where is she?  It's not here!  Is it?" Willow
yelled having lost her patience with her childhood friend.
"He was your friend, yes, Willow.  We understand that but…" Giles
trailed off not being able to say that Angel belonged in hell for what
he didn't do.  Willow turned sad eyes to the man who was more like her
real father than her biological one.  She knew it was hard for him to
understand her need for her friend but she couldn't stand the idea of
him being in hell all that time.  She only saw it at night in her
dreams.
"Fine." It was a defeated whisper that would turn all of their worlds
upside down.

That day was slower than any Willow had ever experienced.  Giles had
agreed to help.  That night, under the full moon she would bring back
her friend.  The spell called for three spell casters and one warrior.
Giles had questioned her about the warrior and third spell caster.
She had only told him that she had already ask two friends for their
help and they had agreed. He had looked at her for a moment before
nodding.  Willow had called Maggie and Johnthan the second she left
the library and told them of Giles agreement.  Xander wasn't speaking
to her; Cordelia almost seemed to understand her need to bring him
back, surprising from her earlier comments about Willow's sanity.
Faith was still quiet.  It was as if the slayer knew something and
wasn't sure what to make of it.  Willow sat down to lunch with her and
waited for her normal chatter but it never came.  Willow finally let
her curiosity get the better of her and asked.
"What is it? What did I do that has you so mad at me that you won't
speak?" Willow asked looking at the slayer.  Faith turned to her and
looked so hurt and confused that it took Willow a moment to remember
that this was the same girl that came to Sunnydale with a chip on her
shoulder the size of Georgia.
"I saw you. I saw you last night. You had them in your house. In your
bedroom. You even hugged the girl. She's a vampire. I know you know
because you brought them both a mug of blood. I thought you were my
friend. Why are you hanging out with vampires? Don't you like me
anymore?" Willow was taken back the statement. Faith had seen her. She
believed that she no longer liked her.
"Faith, you know about Angel. Maggie and Johnthan are like him. Except
they don't have a soul. They are so old that they feel guilt. Most
vampires don't live more than 50 years. Even if they are immortal. The
older they become the more emotions they feel. Well Maggie and
Johnthan feel every emotion that you and I feel.  They feel guilt. I
didn't let you meet them because well I hadn't ever seen you around
Angel and didn't know how you would react. If Buffy had ever meet them
she would have *tried*      to kill them. Honestly she wouldn't have
succeeded but the fight would have been bad and I didn't want to pick
between my friends. I was scared that you wouldn't understand that
they are my friends and they have saved my life many times. I've known
them almost as long as I have Buffy, so this isn't some sort of game.
Please Faith try to understand." Willow pleaded with her friend.
Faith's face was expressionless. She seemed to be mauling it over in
her head.
"Can I meet them? Now?" Willow stared at her friend and then decided
it would be in the best interests of her and the vampires that Faith
was on their side when they met Giles. It would make it a lot easier.
Willow stood up and grabbed her book bag.

"Come on, let's go before me miss all of our afternoon classes." Faith
smiled and picked up her own books and followed her red haired friend.
The big house was white with a wrap around porch. It looked like a
typical family house. It had white shades that were down and closed.
The yard was cut and a garden was growing nicely around a few trees
that grew in the front and side yards. It was actually a rather cute
house. Willow walked up the front steps and pushed the doorbell.
The door opened to reveal a small redheaded woman in a short khaki
skirt and a white V-neck shirt. She was pale but with her red hair
most people would believe it was her natural skin color. Faith felt
the hairs on the back of her neck standing up. This was a very old
vampire and had a great deal of strength. The woman smiled and nodded
to her.
"I wasn't expecting you and you didn't tell me you were bring
company." Faith realized when the woman smiled that she was probably
turned around the age of 17 or 18. That was pretty young to be turned
for a vampire.
"Its all right, Maggie. Faith is here because she wanted to meet you.
Nobody came here to fight. Can we come in?" Willow asked as Maggie and
Faith eyed each other. Faith all ready knew who would win if they were
to fight. The vampire. Faith swallowed her pride and smiled the most
reassuring smile she could. She did not want to piss this vampire off.
"Yes, of course. Come in, where are my manners." She moved away from
the door and let them into the house. Maggie led them into the living
room. The house was all hardwood floors. The walls held paintings of
what looked like Scottish countryside. The living room held a large
deep blue couch and a smaller love seat that was the same shade of
blue; a fireplace that looked like it had been lit the night before.
It was a very large and beautiful place. Faith couldn't believe two
vampires lived here.
"So what is you'd like to know? Faith, isn't it?" The vampire asked
politely. Faith stared back in shock. She never meet a vampire for
long much less one as nice as this one. She seemed to defy the rules.
This made Faith warm up to her.
"I just needed to know why my friend was hanging out with vampires.
That and I assume you and the other one that was with you last night
are the ones that Willow said are going to help get Angel out of hell.
Right?" Faith said shrugging back into the overstuffed couch which
they had been directed to sit into.
"Correct, I assume you will be there tonight?" The vampire said
sitting on the arm of the love seat. Faith smiled and nodded. "Good
this shall be an interesting evening to say the least."
"I can't wait to see Xander's face. He isn't going to call me dead boy
but once before I scare him into calling me something more suitable."
Faith turned to see the male vampire from last night leaning against
the door frame looking at Willow as if asking for an explanation.
Faith knew she needed to feel worried but he was in a pair of black
sweat pants and no shirt. He was truly beautiful.
"This is Faith. She wanted to meet us before she let us near her
watcher and friends. And to make sure Willow hadn't completely lost
her mind." The vampire explained for Willow. The male smiled and
nodded to Faith.
"Faith I'd like for you to meet Johnthan of the Fire and his sire
Maggie the Mad." Faith felt ill suddenly. She was sitting in the
living room of two vampires that could make Angelus look like a
kitten.
"I think your friend has heard of our colorful past." Maggie
said casually. Faith nodded dumbly then found her voice.
      "An interesting night indeed"
