THINGS CHANGE (1/?)

"Would you like some tea, Willow?"

Willow turned and looked at her 'daughter', a smile on her face. "Yes
Drusilla...I'd love some tea."

The redhead sat opposite the woman, waiting as she poured the imaginary
substance into the tiny china cup. She was trying to break Dru of the
habit of calling her mommy. Over the last two weeks Willow had come to
care a lot about the vampire, but being called mother by someone older
than her was just a bit disturbing. Of course, Spike never failed to
mention it now. He was one she would not be able to break of the
annoying habit.

"Do you like your room, Mom..Willow?" Dru asked, correcting herself with
a smile.

"Yes I do. Angelus chose a beautiful home." Willow said, looking around
Dru's room. "Do you like your room?"

"Very much" Dru said, "But I wish I had pretty flowing drapes. Those
heavy curtains are ugly."

"They keep the sun out, princess" Angelus gently reminded as he stepped
into the room. He sat beside Willow, glancing at the empty glass in her
hands. "You were good today" he said simply, a smile crossing his lips.

"Yes" Willow said, kissing him softly. "Dru, honey, would you like to
paint your windows black? That way we could get you some pretty drapes
without worrying about the sun."

Dru's eyes widened as she clapped, "Oh..could we?"

"You spoil the brat" Spike said gruffly as he leaned against the
doorway. "She doesn't need any damn curtains."

"Do too" Drusilla said, sticking her tongue out at him. "Mommy said I
could have some. So there."

"What do I get then?" Spike asked, letting his eyes rake over Willow's
form. He leered, amusement crossing his face as she blushed.

"A fat lip if you keep looking at my woman like that" Angelus said, his
tone warning but playful. He had only had Willow for two weeks now. He
had no intention of rushing her into anything she wasn't ready for.
Spike could be patient and wait. He snickered at the idea of Spike being
patient.

"Your woman?" Willow said, rolling her eyes. "My lord...I've woken up in
the wrong era."

"So, Mum...what do I get? I mean, it's not fair if Dru gets pretty
curtains and I don't get anything.....you'd be playing favorites" he
said, his lower lip thrusting out as he pouted at her.

"Would you like pretty drapes too, Spike?" Dru asked, a slight smile
crossing her face.

"Fuck the damn drapes" Spike said, frowning.

"Ah..poor baby feels left out" Willow said, a mischievious smile on her
face. "I'll think of something for you, Spike. Don't want to be accused
of being a wicked stepmother now do I?"

Spike smiled at her words. "If you'd rather not think, I can give you a
list. Pretty simple list. Most involve you, naked hot flesh and me."

"Spike" Angelus warned, his arm tightening around Willow's shoulders.

Willow just laughed, "You are such a flirt, Spike. Don't worry that
pretty little head. I'll make sure it's something real good. Until then,
though, would you like to help me paint Dru's windows this weekend?"

Spike groaned, "Do I haveta?"

"Please?" Willow asked, a smile on her face.

Spike rolled his eyes, "Fine. I'll help. The things I do for you, Red."

"Goodie" Dru said, trying to decide what color curtains she wanted.

"We can paint after you get home from school Friday" Angelus said, glad
to see how easily his children had accepted his mate and vice versa.
Willow had moved in with them two weeks before and he could honestly say
that the entire family had never been happier. It was strange how things
changed. "Want some dinner?"

"Sure. We can pick up some burgers" Willow said, allowing him to pull
her to her feet. "Thank you for the tea, Dru."

"Thank you for the curtains Mum" Dru said, putting the china away. "Miss
Edith will be so happy to hear we will have pretty flowing drapes."

"Can I go too?" Spike asked, his eyes hopeful.

Willow laughed, "When have I ever told you no?"

He smiled, "Hopefully never."

"I think I may be ill" Angelus said, making a face.

"Oh hush" Willow said, kissing him again. "Let's get something to eat.
Dru, honey, I'll bring you back a chocolate milk shake, ok?"

"Thank you" Dru said, having become addicted to the tasty treats since
Willow had moved in. She had never realized how yummy human's food could
be.

"Can I have one too?" Angelus asked, his mind recalling the last milk
shake he had...poured over Willow's flesh as he licked it off of her. He
was delighted when she turned red, her heart beating faster. She
remembered too.

"If you're good" Willow promised, walking down the stairs.

Spike snorted, "Well, there goes that then."

Angelus glared at him, "I can be good" he said defensively as he
followed Willow out in to the night.
