~Part: 1~

Willow pulled her jacket closer around her body.  It was chilly for late March in southern California.  Looking around, she checked to make sure nothing was following her.  It was her own fault she knew.  She had lost track of time, well her watch had any way, Willow thought as she glared at the band on her wrist.  When she had checked the time early in the afternoon it was working, but when she had checked it again it was stuck on 3:00.  It was just her luck.  She now had to walk home, alone, at night.  Things couldn't get any worse.

As she walked she thought about all that had been happening lately.  She and Xander were hardly talking anymore.  She really did miss her best friend. Once inseparable, now…well that was the point.

Things were just as bad with Buffy.  She had grown distant after the whole Angelus incident and her running away.  No matter how many times Willow tried to tell her she just wouldn't believe it wasn't her fault.  No one blamed her, and to be honest no one really blamed Angel either.  Sure they held grudges and were more than a little frightened to be around him sometimes.

Well, the others were.  For some reason Willow wasn't scared of him at all. She knew he was almost always there, lurking in the shadows, watching out for her.  She had gotten used to it while he was Angelus.  You would think that would've scared her but no, not Willow.  She knew he would never hurt her. He was protecting her, like he always did.

They had become quite close since he returned from hell.  She visited him at least twice a week if not more.  They had so much in common.  It was amazing they hadn't realized it before. Something else, Willow had come to realize just how fond she was of him.  True, she'd thought of him as a close friend. One of her best friends actually, but she had also come to realize she considered him as more.

She'd always had a crush on him; he was after all very attractive.  But after all the time she spent with him, she learned to over look the apparent things and hone in on the small non-important things.  Like how he read the same books as she did and how they shared the same taste in music and art. They could actually have a conversation together about things other than what was on sale at the mall this weekend and if they were going to the Bronze.  It was those little things that made her lo…

Willows thoughts were interrupted as she was grabbed from behind.  *Great, now I'm going to die, all thanks to my stupid watch. *

A million thoughts started to fly through her head.  Things she knew she would regret thinking about when this was over and done with like, Buffy would be mad that she was out alone and she had never gotten the chance to tell Xander that it was actually she who had spilled cool-aid on his comic book collection back in the fourth grade not Jessie.  She wanted to tell Giles that although she thought he was a great watcher he should loosen up just a bit and have some fun and she hoped Cordy realized what a crappy watch she'd given her for her birthday. But most of all she wanted to tell Angel that it wasn't his fault. And that she...

"You're the slayers little friend."  The demon growled. Willow nodded slightly, too scared to answer.

The demon smiled and tightened his hold on her neck.  Willow struggled slightly as she felt the pressure of his hand squeezing her throat, cutting off her air supply.

"How would you like to give her a message for me?"

"O-okay." Willow choked out, hoping she sounded helpful.

"Good."  The demon said pushing her to the ground. "There are just so many things I want to tell her." He said as he stepped closer to where she lay struggling to breathe again.

Willows eyes widened as she saw a huge blade like nail extend from his index finger.  As he advanced toward her she realized exactly how she was going to deliver the message.  He was about to make her into a human post it.  *Life is just so unfair. * Willow thought as she struggled to get up.

"Now be a good little girl and sit still while I write it down for you, you'll have enough time to deliver it.  Don't you worry your pretty little head off."

Just as Willow opened her mouth to scream, she heard the most wonderful thing in the world…Angel.

He knew even before he'd turned the corner she was there, and she was afraid. Her fear was rolling off her like waves and it hit him like a ton of bricks. Willow was in trouble.  Rational thought had no place in his mind any more. He was acting purely without thought.  Whomever or whatever was causing her fear would pay. Of that he was sure.  He promised himself to always keep her safe and that's what he intended to do.

"Why don't you be a good little boy and deliver it yourself."

The demon whipped around to face the newcomer. "Angelus…how nice of you to visit old friends."

"Get out of here Trey.  Leave the girl alone." Angel said coldly, as his face shifted. "Aw but Angelus…we were just getting started." Trey said as he moved to stab Willow, who had just stood up.

Angel reacted quickly, pushing Willow to the ground in hopes of saving her from being gored.

What he didn't realize was the ground was uneven and part of it was slightly raised.  So when Willow fell, she hit her head, the force alone knocking her out cold.

Willow stumbled back from Angel's push, surprise etched on her face.  As she fell she had no time to consider what was going to happen. If Angel or she herself was going to be ok. The uneven ground rushed to meet her at a sickeningly fast pace and Willow's last thought before she succumbed to darkness was Angel was going to have to fight this one on his own.

After disposing of Trey, Angel turned around to see Willow lying on the ground, soaked in her own blood. Realizing what had happened, he quickly scooped her limp form up and ran back to his apartment.

After cleaning the wound, which turned out to be not as bad as he first feared, he gently covered her on his bed and sat down next to her. This was all his fault.  If he hadn't stopped to make that quick sweep of the park on his way out he would have been able to kill the demon long before it had approached her.  And pushing her to the ground, what had he been thinking. He should've known she would get hurt.  She's not the slayer.  She was mortal, with mortal healing abilities. He just hoped she woke up soon.

~Part: 2~

Willow groaned as she opened her eyes. The room was dark but what little light that shone through the open bedroom door caused her head to throb slightly.  She turned on her side and was face to face with a worried looking Angel.

"Angel, did you get the name of the truck that hit me?"

Angel stared at her for a few moments, worrying that she was more hurt then he thought.  *Truck?*

Willow smiled as she watched his face change. "Angel it's ok." She said sitting up slightly.

He looked up at her again and realized she was just joking.  She hadn't actually suffered serious head trauma after all.  "I'm sorry. I was trying to… "

"Angel, I said it was ok.  I'm fine.  I mean ok so I have a headache, but that's normal right?  I mean I don't think I have a concussion.  Look at all the times Giles has been hit on the head or knocked out.  I'm sure it's not a big deal really…"

"Will…"

"I mean if I had a concussion I would know it and I'm sure I would feel worse then I do now…"

"Willow…"

"I don't really feel that bad…they say head injury's look worse then they are… "

"Willow, I think your just fine." Angel sighed with amusement.

"Oh, right."

"So what were you doing out alone at night?"

"Oh well my watch broke and I didn't realize the time and then when I did it was too late and no one was around to take me home, so I figured I could just walk home.  My house isn't that far away."

"You could have called me." Angel said, quietly.

"I did.  You didn't answer."

"I never heard the phone."

"Oh…well I did call.  You were actually the first one.  I-I figured we could watch a movie or something."

"Really?"

"Yea."

They stared at each other for a short while. Angel had always been infatuated with her.  He knew this. He had even begun to love her, something he thought would never happen again.  If he were truly honest with himself he knew all along he loved her.  How could he not, it was Willow.  She was everything to him now, his only friend…his only love.  He and Buffy were almost strangers now.  He wasn't sure if that were good or bad.  There was nothing that would ever make him go back to her, he acknowledged softly.  Too much had happened between them.  He wouldn't lie, he had loved her, but now…now he knew they were over.  He didn't see why he couldn't move on to someone else, especially someone as loving and beautiful as Willow.

Angel slowly started to move his head toward her. This could be it.  He had wanted this for so long.  This was the moment he had been waiting for, for almost two years now.  This was it.

Willow stared at Angel for a long time.  She wanted him. She knew it.  She was almost certain he knew it to.  They spent enough time together that they knew almost everything there was to know about one another. This could be it. It was finally about to happen.

Their lips touched lightly against each other and the couple sighed together as they felt the connection.  This was right, this was meant to be.  It was everything they hoped for and more.  Angel gently deepened the kiss, licking Willow's lips, asking permission to enter.  The red head moaned slightly and opened her mouth to him.

He wasted no time in slipping his tongue in to dance with hers. This was what he had been waiting for.  This was heaven.  She tasted so good, like strawberries and cream with a unique flavor that was her very own.  He pulled her closer to him and into his lap, running his hands up and down her back..

Willow moaned again as she felt him pull her against his body.  He had to be the most gorgeous man ever.  God, she had never felt this way before.  His body and tongue were driving her crazy.  His tongue should be classified as a lethal weapon, she decided.  Over and over again she felt it sweep and tangle with her own, before moving to explore the rest of her mouth.  She was pressed up against his hard body and was now straddling him as they sat on the bed.  She felt his hand move from her back down to her butt.

He gripped her softly but firmly and pulled her closer into his hips.  At this movement, Willow became quite clear as to how excited he was.  Pulling away slightly Willow looked him in the eye.  Was this what she wanted, so soon after finding he returned her feelings?  Not even a moment passed and she made her decision. Pulling him closer to her, she kissed him again.  This time expressing all her love for him in that one kiss.  When she broke the kiss to breathe Angel took a few unnecessary breaths himself. *Wow.* Willow thought.

Willow smiled as wrapped her arms around his neck.  "Angel I know its probably too soon to tell you this, but I…I love you.  I've loved you for what seems like forever now."

"Oh, Willow…You don't know how happy that makes me.  It's not too soon. I feel the same way.  Ever since I came to Sunnydale I've felt drawn to you. I'm so happy this has happened."

"Really?  I thought it was one sided.  I thought that all you wanted was to be friends and…"

Angel grasped her hips in his large hands and pulled her to him again. "I definitely want to be more than friends." He groaned. There was something about this girl that made him go crazy for her.

Willow rubbed herself against his hardness and moaned.  This was all so new to her.  She couldn't believe how forward she was being with him. Then again she always felt like she could be herself while with him.  He made her comfortable and confident.

"Willow, unless you want things to get a little out of hand I suggest you stop that."  Angel moaned.

Willow blushed and started to get off of him.  Embarrassed now she couldn't look him in the eye.  She had been to forward with him and now it was over. What would happen?  Would he ask her to leave?

"Hey, Will it's ok.  You don't have to…"

Willow stopped her movement and looked up at him again. "Angel I've never-never done anything like this before.  I-I just don't know what to do.  I thought I was doing g-good but then you wanted to stop and…"

"Will, I understand.  Trust me I do.  And you were doing…great, but if you didn't stop, I wasn't sure I would."

"Oh…OH!!" Willow said blushing again.

"Yea." Angel said, feeling slightly embarrassed about it himself. She made him loose control and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.  He was thankful his soul was permanent now, that was for sure.

Willow took a deep breath and looked passed him.  "It would have been ok."

"What would have…OH!"

If it was possible, Willow turned a brighter red.

"I want to, Willow, but we just admitted our feelings for one another.  I think we should wait a little longer.  Make sure your really ready.  I want the first time we make love to be special and memorable.  Not rushed."

Willow smiled at him and nodded.

After kissing her lightly on the lips, he got up to fix her something to eat so as not to stir up trouble again.

~Part: 3~

Willow watched as Angel rinsed off the last of the dishes.  He wouldn't allow her to move from the table to help him so she was stuck admiring his backside.  Not that she minded really.  After all it was a great backside, Willow thought with a grin.

"How's your head?" Angel asked, wiping his hands on the dishrag.

"Um well it hurts, but not really that bad. Just a slight headache."

"Do you want to lay down? Take a nap maybe?" Angel questioned with concern

Willow nodded slightly and let him lead her back into the bedroom. After settling her in the comfortable queen sized bed, Angel made to move into the living room.

Should she ask?  She didn't want to be left alone.  Although, the thought of sleeping with him, in the same bed, caused her to have mixed feelings.  They wouldn't do anything.  Just sleep.

"Angel?"

"Yea?" He said, sitting on the side of the bed.

"Will you stay with me? Just to sleep…"

Angel looked at her and knew he couldn't refuse her. "Alright."  He said, reaching down to remove his shoes.

Willow watched in surprise as he stood up and removed his shirt, leaving his white tee on. He was undressing? *Oh boy...* Willow thought.  Making his way to the other side of the bed he lied down on top of the covers.  Willow moved closer to him and reached out for his hand.

"I really do love you."

"And I you." Angel said, pulling their hands up to place a light kiss on the back of hers.

Willow lay there in the dark, thoughts running threw her mind. This was really sudden.  Did he feel the same way for her? Sure he said he loved her, but did he *really* love her?  Did he love her like she loved him? What if he realized that he loved her as a friend? She knew, logically that Angel loved her but she felt so insecure about it all.  Having no idea what to expect out of a relationship, this was all new to her.

"Angel what are we?"

"What?"

"I mean, are we dating now or is this just something for now?" Willow asked, biting her bottom lip nervously.

Angel sighed softly.  He knew this was all new to her.  After all, she'd never had a boyfriend or anything that even came close to resembling a relationship before.  He just wished she would take his word.  He didn't know how to explain his feelings for her. He knew he loved her.  She was his everything now.  He was just never very good at sharing his feelings before. He'd try though, he'd try for her.

"Well, I'd like to date.  I was serious when I said I loved you, and have loved you from the first moment I saw you.  It just took awhile to understand the feelings I was having for you.  I think we can make this work.  I know it seems like this just came out of the blue, but I really believe this is meant to be."

Willow smiled and nodded.  "So do I."

Angel quickly slipped under the covers and pulled her close. Placing a chaste kiss on her lips he told her to go to sleep.

Willow sighed and snuggled close to him.  It was hard to imagine that just yesterday they had sat on his couch watching movies and talking like best friends.  How was it that they were as close as they were now?  It seemed so right, so perfect.  She couldn't be happier.  This had to be the happiest she'd ever been.  She had a boyfriend! Willow smiled at that thought.  This was just too much.  Not only did she have a boyfriend she had a gorgeous boyfriend, who loved her and wasn't afraid to show it.  Yes, this was perfect.

Angel smiled slightly to himself as he saw her smile in the darkness.  She was happy, happy in the arms of a monster nonetheless.  Did she realize that? Had she thought of what that would mean?  There would be no afternoon picnics or watching the sunrise after making love all night.  No evening walks on the beach as the sunset.  No children for her to love and take care of.  Well, that wasn't exactly true.  There were ways for her to have children.  They just wouldn't be by him.  Now that was a depressing thought. She wouldn't do that.  But did she realize all she was giving up in order to be with him, a vampire.  As he watched her silently, he realized she did. She knew all about him, knew what his life consisted of and she didn't care. If anything she loved him more for it.

Angel smiled and pulled his love closer.  Things would work out for them. They were meant to be, they were soul mates and no matter what life threw at them they would overcome it. Yes, things would be just fine Angel thought as he closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him.

~Part: 4~

Willow woke up a bit disoriented and wondered where she was.  Then she remembered the night before.  She remembered the demon and getting knocked out, then waking up at Angel's, the kiss and confessing their love to one another.  Willow smiled to herself and rolled over.  She jumped slightly as she felt Angels' arm tighten around her, pulling her closer.  Lying in bed with a man, well vampire, but man nonetheless was definitely new for her.  In the light of day, figuratively speaking of course, things seemed so different.  She lost her newfound confidence, blaming the slight bump on her head for her bluntness with Angel.  The new day seemed to make her reconsider her rash decisions.  What was she thinking, telling Angel she loved him?  Of course it was true but to open her heart to him like that so soon.  What if he felt sorry for her and didn't really love her?  What if he was still in love with Buffy?!

"Will?" Angel's tired voice broke threw the spell.

"Yea?"

"Is everything ok?" Angel asked leaning against the headboard and taking her hand in his.

"Sure, fine, great, why wouldn't it be?"

"You tell me?  You zoned out for a good five minutes."

"What? Really?" Willow asked.

Angel nodded and searched her eyes for anything that would tell him what was wrong with her. He was sure they had cleared up any remaining worries she might have had.  He'd professed his love to her numerous times since the night before.  She must know by now how he felt about her.  Unless...

"Have you changed your mind?"

"Changed my mind?"

"About us."

"No!!  I was worried you had."

"No, I haven't. Willow I promise my feelings are genuine. There isn't anything in this world that could make me stop loving you." Angel said, tucking a stray hair behind her ear.

"I'm sorry.  I know I'm getting repetitive with this but I've never had a boyfriend before and I'm not the most confident person in the world.  I'll get better I promise, once I get used to this."

"I understand, trust me I do.  I wouldn't expect you to be any other way."

Willow smiled and reached up to kiss him lightly on the lips.  "I think I'm getting the hang of it though."

"I think so too." Angel said with a smile.

He pulled her up slightly so as to better reach her lips.  As they kissed, their hands roamed over one another's bodies, learning how to please. They broke away from each other, looking into one another's eyes. The shrill ringing of the phone caused them to break their trance. Angel reached across Willow for the phone, which sat on the end table beside her.

"Hello?"

"Angel, its Giles."

"Giles, is anything wrong?" Angel asked, looking down at Willow while stroking her face.

"Well, I'm not entirely sure yet.  You see we haven't been able to reach Willow today.  Buffy called her house late last night after patrol and there was no answer, the same thing this morning. We've been trying to reach her all day.  I'm afraid something may have happened to her."

"No, she's fine Giles.  She was attacked last night on her way home from the library but I was around and helped her.  She did hurt her head so I brought her back to my new apartment and she stayed here last night."

"Oh, I see.  Well, ah if you could please have her come round the library some time, tonight maybe, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and uhh let her know we were worried?"

"Of course." Angel answered.  After saying their good-byes Angel hung the phone up and looked back down at Willow.

"We should probably get up now.  Buffy and Xander will be here in about 20 minutes I'm sure."

Willow laughed, knowing it was true.  They would rush over partly due to their concern but also because she was at Angel's.  They still didn't understand her friendship with the vampire.  Buffy most days couldn't bring herself to be in the same room as he was without either breaking into tears or beating the daylights out of Giles while they sparred.  It was just too hard on her to try and get past what had happened.  She felt guilty for everything involving Angel.  No matter what Willow and Angel, the one time he managed to get a few words in to her, said.

Xander on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the vampire. Saying it was a trick and he was still evil.  Willow tried to explain that there was no way it could be a trick.  She had performed the spell herself.  She knew it had worked.  She knew before she rescued him from hell that he had his soul and it was permanent.  Xander just didn't understand it.  He had practically forbidden her to see him, telling her not to be around him.  Of course that had only led to them having a big fight which ended with Willow in tears and Xander apologizing, hoping to make it all better.  They had agreed to disagree after that and nothing was said again about her spending time with Angel.

Snapping back to reality, Willow threw back the covers and got out of bed. It wasn't the first time she had stayed over Angel's of course they had never slept in the same bed before.  He always slept on the couch.  In any case she was happy to have a toothbrush and clean change of clothes.  Walking over to the bathroom she quickly did her business and stepped back into the living room.  Feeling refreshed and a little cleaner she followed the smells and sounds of cooking into the kitchen.  Finding Angel at the stove fixing her eggs was just about the sweetest thing ever.

"Make sure there's…"

"Lots of cheese I know." Angel said smiling as he turned around.

Willow sat at the table and watched as he finished cooking her eggs.  He had already poured her some orange juice and sat the plate in front of her. Angel made a great show of leaning over for a quick peck on the lips before returning to the stove. Willow thanked him as she dug into her food, knowing anything he made would be delicious.

"Mmmm.  This is great Angel." Willow gushed as she swallowed her first bite.

Angel laughed and began washing the pan out. "Glad you like it."

"Of course.  I wouldn't mind you cooking for me all the time!  You're a great cook!"

"Thanks."

Willow nodded and continued eating.

After finishing the pan, Angel sat down on the opposite side of Willow, watching her eat. Feeling his eyes on her, she looked up.

"Have you fed yet?"

"Ugh no, not yet."

"Well, go ahead.  You must be starving, I mean you didn't feed last night and it's almost sunset now."

"I can wait unt…"

Willow put her fork down and looked at him carefully. He was embarrassed. Well, that was new.  He'd never had a problem feeding in front of her before. Willow sighed softly and stood up, taking her plate to the sink.  After r insing it she walked up to the cabinet and pulled out a mug. Humming softly she opened the fridge and pulled out a bag of blood.  Throwing it into the microwave she set the time and waited for it to heat up.

Angel watched all this in confusion.  What was she doing? He knew he was being a bit ridiculous, he'd fed in front of her before.  In fact, she'd had a meal waiting for him when he woke up a few times for him as a surprise. Maybe he thought he was doing her a favor? Sparing her the sight of his feeding. It must be appalling to think of him drinking blood one minute and them kissing the next. The thought didn't appeal to him so he couldn't imagine that it was a great thought for her.

At the beep Willow opened the door and emptied the bag into the mug, stirred it a little and then placed it in front of him.

"Enjoy."

Angel watched as she sat in front of him and stared at him.

"Uh Willow…"

"Hmm?"

"You're staring."

"Yea…"

"Why?"

"Because you're going to drink all of that blood and your not going to move until you do."

"Excuse me?" Angel asked in shock. Had she lost her mind? Fixing his blood was one thing but ordering him to drink it? Where had that come from?

"You heard me Mr. I'm too embarrassed to feed in front of my girlfriend now so I'm going to starve myself." Willow said, sitting back in her chair.

"Girlfriend?!?!" A voice yelled from the doorway to the kitchen.

~Part: 5~

Willow turned in shock at the new comers loud exclamation.  Wanting nothing more for the ground to open up and swallow her, she took a deep breath.

"Jeez Xander! Don't you know how to knock?" Willow asked, moving to stand by Angel.

"No! And I'm glad I don't! Who knows what could be happening behind closed, locked doors!" Xander asked with a horrified look on his face.

"And don't you think they're closed and locked for a reason Xander?!" Willow asked, irritated at her friend.

Xander stared at her with an open mouth.

"Willow?"

Willow glared at Xander one last time for good measure before turning to her other best friend.  Seeing the blonde with tears in her eyes tore at Willow's heart.

"Buffy…" Willow started, making a move toward her.

"Are…I mean…you and A-Angel are…together?" Buffy asked.

"I-I…Buffy I'm sor…"

"Are you?" Buffy cut in, holding her hand up.

"Y-yes."

Buffy nodded stiffly, looking at Willow and then Angel.  It wasn't hard to see that the two were in love.  She knew it was only a matter of time before the two figured that out for themselves.  She also knew she didn't love Angel anymore.  Of course there would always be a place in her heart for him.  He was after all her first love.  But she'd had a lot of time to think and she knew that while they had been in love at the time it just wasn't the case anymore.  She felt too much guilt about the whole situation. So in true Buffy fashion she clenched her jaw and swallowed hard before looking back at the couple, who had inched closer together.

"I hope you guys are happy together."  Buffy said tearfully before walking out.

"What?!" Xander screeched.

"C'mon Xand."

"B-But Buffy…" Xander started in confusion.  Was this really happening?

"No! Xander come with me now!  Just leave them alone. It's none of your business." Buffy said, trying to urge him out with her.

"She's my best friend!"

"So! She's mine too.  Just…just leave it be.  Let them be happy."

Turning to the couple who had followed them into the living room she smiled slightly.

"See you guys at the library tomorrow? Giles will still want to hear about the demon that attacked you."

"S-Sure." Willow answered.

"Angel?"

"We'll be there."

"Great." Buffy said, opening the door. "See you then."

Xander put his hand against the door and slammed it shut. "Wait a minute!  I, being the only sane person here…"

"That's debatable."  Angel cut in softly.

Glaring at the vampire, Xander continued. "Being the only sane person here I have a lot to say about this."

"And yet nobody cares…" Buffy retorted.

"Buff…"

"No…Xander you have exactly two seconds to walk out that door with me or so help me I'll throw you out."

"But…"

"Xander don't make me slay you."

Scowling, Xander snatched open the door and stormed out. This whole thing was wrong, so wrong.  He couldn't believe this.  Had he stepped into the twilight zone? This couldn't be real, could it?

Buffy grinned at them before heading out.  Just before she closed the door she stopped and turned back around. She knew what she said now would have a big impact on their relationship from now on. So Buffy smiled slightly and looked between them.

"I really meant it you guys.  I want you to be happy together.  I mean I know it won't be easy at first, at least for me, but I'll get over it.  And I'm getting over my guilt.  I'm getting better.  And I really want us to be friends."  Buffy said looking at Angel.

He nodded and she smiled.

"Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow then." Buffy said, closing the door softly.

The couple stood there for a few moments watching the closed door.  Willow, half expecting it to slam open again as reality set into her friend.  She dreaded that.  She wanted to believe that Buffy was ok with it all.  But it just didn't seem likely.  Angel had been her first love. Her only love in fact.  If Willow had lost him to another woman she knew she wouldn't be able to get over it, let alone be friendly toward the other woman.

"Did that just happen?" Angel asked, turning to his love.

"I think so."

"I knew Xander would take it bad.  I expected it really.  Buffy, on the other hand…I expected tears, threats, maybe even some violence." Angel said, pulling her into his arms.

"It might still happen." Willow said, looking up helpfully.

Angel pulled back slightly and looked into her eyes. Seeing his questioning look she sighed and broke away to walk over to the couch.

Sitting down she continued. "I'm just not sure it's over yet.  I don't think she realizes what's going on yet.  And I'm afraid when she does it's not going to be pretty."

"Oh Willow…I actually think it might be.  She was right when she said it won't be easy.  We still haven't spoken about it and while she might be getting over her guilt, until we settle things between us she'll still be holding onto a little bit of it.  She'll never get over it fully.  But she's trying.  And in order for her to get over it completely she and I will have to work it all out," Angel said, tucking a lose piece of hair behind her ear.

"But you don't have to worry.  She doesn't love me anymore.  Although I'm sure she holds a place for me in her heart, like I do for her.  But I know we're not in love anymore Willow.  There's nothing for you to worry about." Angel reassured her, taking her hand in his.

"I-I'm not…" Willow stuttered, looking away.

"Willow, I know you.  I know how that beautiful mind of yours works.  I promise everything will be ok.  You have nothing to worry about. Buffy really is ok with this and she'll probably help the others get through it." Angel said, stroking her cheek with his thumb.

Willow smiled and leaned into him.  Bringing his hands to a rest on her back, Angel gently pulled her toward him and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. Willow sighed softly against his lips and settled against him for some much needed comfort and smoochies.

~Part: 6~

Buffy and Xander waked into her house silently.  She could tell he was still mad at her for not objecting to Willow and Angel's relationship, but frankly she didn't care. It wasn't really his business to get mad like that.  Sure they were friends but that didn't give him the right to act the way he had. If she didn't know any better she would think he was jealous. But she knew that wasn't the case, he hated Angel more than any one else.  She really hoped he got over it soon though.  She was sure this would ruin his and Willow's friendship.

"I don't understand how she can be with him. And I don't understand why you're ok with it!" Xander said, throwing himself onto the couch. Buffy sat down next to him and took his hand. " Xand…I really do understand where you're coming from.  But if you want to stay friends with Willow you'll have to get over this.  She is so in love with him.  I know it seems sudden but it really isn't.  I promise he won't hurt her and he's probably the best thing for her right now. His soul is permanent so there is nothing to worry about."

"It's not that."

"Then what is it?"

"It's just she's my little buddy.  She shouldn't be shacking it up with the undead. It was bad enough when you were doing it.  I thought she would find a nice normal guy who could give her every thing she could ever want and be good to her, be there for her like her parents weren't. I didn't want her to become his plaything."

"Is that what I am?"

"No!" Xander exclaimed with a horrified look on his face.

"Well then don't think it about her! And don't ever let Willow hear you say it. Not only will she kill you, but if by some chance you live, Angel will finish you off."

"Yea I'd like to see him try."

"Xander stop ok. Just get over it."

"Ok Ok. "

"Good."

Xander gave his little half smile and got up. "Well I guess I'll be off then. I'll call you in the morning."

"I'll do a quick sweep now and head to bed." Buffy said, following him out.

*~*~*~*~*~*~

Buffy sighed as she wiped the dust off her new shirt. She really hated this job sometimes.  It never got any easier. She was going to be going to college next year.  There was no way she could keep up her slaying and studies.  It was hard enough now.  Not to mention they would have to relocate bases.  The high school library was fine while they were in high school. But there was no way Snyder would let college freshmen hangout there.  He already had it in for them.

Buffy stopped suddenly.  Straining her ears to hear the slight noise she thought she might have heard, she started off to the left.  Carefully making her way over to the old abandoned crypt she started behind it, Mr. Pointy raised at a careful level. Upon turning the corner she just managed she keep her surprised gasp in.  Five camouflaged beings were spread out over the small clearing and had two vampires laid out on the ground.  Three of the goons looked to be checking the vamps out and the other two keeping a look out and doing something with some kind of gadget that looked like a game-boy. Not entirely sure as to what to do Buffy decided to watch a little more. Just then one of the vamps started to move.

Buffy gasped as a commando, as she came to decide they were, shot him with a taser gun.  The vamp's body jumped with the shock a few times before coming to rest on the ground. One of the commandos looked toward where she was standing and she tried to fade back into the shadows.  Unfortunately a fledgling decided he wanted to fight so Buffy had no other choice but to defend herself and give up her hiding place.  The fight had drawn the attention of the commandos and they were now running over to investigate. She had just dusted the vamp when they came up to her, guns raised.

Riley Finn stared at the beautiful girl in front of him.  His censers indicated she was a human so as he knew she wasn't a hostile, well at least not a vampire. He was sure she was human though. She was just so beautiful. She must have been one of the vamps intended meals. Giving his men the signal to stand down he moved to greet her.  Seeing her eyes widen in what he assumed was fear he put his hands up in what he hoped was a friendly, non-threatening gesture.

Buffy took a step back from who she assumed was the leader as he advanced. When he brought his hands up in front of him she couldn't help but think he looked a bit ridiculous after just having tagged two vamps.  Normally she would have just attacked but these guys were obviously human and it just wasn't in her to fight humans.  Besides that she needed to find out as much as she could to tell Giles.

Riley watched as the girl's eyes darted around.  She seemed to be thinking of a way to get out of here.  Not that he blamed her.  Being in the cemetery can really take a lot out of a person.  Being from Iowa, the farm bread boy had no business in graveyards. The closest he'd been to one in years after his grandfather died had been passing by on the way to church every Sunday.  If this was the way he felt he couldn't even imagine how she felt. So he nodded to her, motioning for her to be on her way.  He knew he'd hear holy hell about it but at this point he didn't care.  They had bagged two Hostiles and tagged another.  The other teams had done just as well.  Walsh would be happy so he hopefully would get to sleep before listening to her complain.

Buffy watched in shock as the leader nodded at her to leave.  He couldn't really mean it. She was sure she would have to fight her way out. Oh well. She wasn't about to ask questions now.  She always knew that saying was correct. Act now ask later. Buffy decided that was now her new philosophy. After taking another look behind her, Buffy took off running.

Forest threw his mask to the ground and opened his mouth to start in on Riley just as he started giving orders.

"Jackson, follow her, I want to know where she goes, what she does and who she talks to. If she starts asking questions or telling people about what she saw, bring her in. Miller and Gates we're bringing the hostiles back to the compound. Johnson secure the area and report back to me."

~Part: 7~

Buffy threw open the doors to the library and tossed her stuff on the checkout counter. Looking at the group gathered there she sighed.  This would be fun.

"Ok so patrol was very fruitful last night.  After I walked Xander home, I went by the cemetery and staked a vamp. No biggie there.  Then I hear this noise right so I go around this really old looking crypt and I see five commandos.  They had guns and I'm guessing some kind of tracking device. They also had two vamps laid out on the ground and when one started to come to one of the commandos shot him with a taser.  Now I don't mind the help. Trust me I really don't, but these guys weren't just killing, I think they were taking the vamps somewhere.  Although don't ask me where, or why for that matter." Buffy said.

"Ok, but these could be good guys right?" Willow asked from her position at the table next to Angel.

"Well they let me go.  The leader-looking guy stopped the others from shooting me, although I'm not sure they were going to, but he stopped them, and then let me go. So in my book he's good.  But we still have to check them out because I don't know what they're doing with the vamps they take in, if they really are taking them.  So right now I think the plan should be to find out as much as we can about them and go from there."

"Great who's up for some breakfast?" Xander asked, clapping his hands together.

"Mmmm I could use some." Willow said, putting a hand over her stomach.

"Buff, G-man, Deadboy? What'dya say we go to the diner and get some food?" Xander asked, standing.

Everyone looked at him in shock. Had he really just invited Angel to get breakfast with them?  Maybe he was going to be ok with this after all.

*~*~*~*~*

Riley quickly made his way into Walsh's office.  He'd expected this.  At least he'd gotten to sleep before she bitched at him.  Well he got about three hours anyway.  He just couldn't get that girl out of his head.  She was so beautiful. He'd only been in Sunnydale for a year and a half and this was only the second girl he was interested in.  He wished he could have met her under normal circumstances.

"Ahh yes, I understand your patrol was successful Agent Finn."

"Yes ma'am."

"Now what's this about a civilian? A civilian you let get away, oh no my mistake…" Walsh said, looking at some papers. " A civilian you told to go home?"

"The girl was away from the hostiles. I wasn't sure if she was even there because of them ma'am."

"And what, Agent Finn do you think a girl would be doing in a cemetery in the middle of the night if it had nothing to do with vampires?" Maggie Walsh asked, pointedly.

"I'm not sure…"

"Your not sure…well you going to be sure. You, Agent Miller, and Agent Gates are going undercover. I want full reports everyday about her.  There is something going on here and I want to know what it is." Maggie Walsh said, looking at a file in her hand.

"Yes ma'am."

"Good. Now you will continue your normal everyday duties. I don't want your normal lives to be affected by this, but I do expect that anytime you would be here at the Initiative you be with her or around her."

"Yes ma'am."

"Good, now go inform your team."

With a curt nod Riley exited the office.

*Not affect our normal lives! What is she out of her mind? If we get to know this girl it'll do nothing but affect our normal lives! I swear sometimes I wonder why I agreed to this.*

Riley entered his dorm room and slammed the door.  Throwing himself onto his bed he picked up a small foam ball and threw it at the net hanging on the door.  Missing the shot he got up to get the ball and stopped short as the door opened.

"Walsh said you were gonna debrief us." Forrest said, laying back on Riley's bed.

"Yea, I just needed a minute to cool off. That woman is outta her mind sometimes."

"Yea, so what happened?" Forrest asked, sharing a look with Graham.

"She wants us undercover. The girl I let go last night is worrying her. She wants us to follow her.  Instead of going to the Initiative we're to be spending time with her or be around her. She wants full reports everyday."

"Oh wonderful." Graham groaned.

"Exactly."

Willow and Buffy sat in a booth quietly sipping at their orange juices. Xander was in the bathroom and Angel hadn't come, claiming there were no tunnels to the diner.  The threesome really hadn't minded that much, wanting to spend time together.  Just then the door to the diner opened and Buffy gasped.

"What?" Willow asked, looking around.

"Wills do you see those guys that just walked in?"

Turning around so she could see whom the blonde was talking about, Willow nodded. "Yea?"

"Well the tall blonde one is looking really good right now. And oh my god is he coming over here?"

"Looks like."

"How's my hair?"

"You look great Buffy."

"Excuse me ladies, do you mind if we join you?" Riley asked.

"Wel…" Willow started, only to be cut off by Buffy.

"No…go ahead." Buffy said, sliding over to make more room.

Buffy smiled slightly as the tall blonde sat next to her on the one side and his friends filed in next to Willow.

"I'm Riley Finn, this is Graham Miller and Forrest Gates."

"I'm Buffy Summers and this is Willow Rosenberg."

"So are you girls in college?"

"Oh no we're seniors in high school. Next year though!" Buffy smiled.

"Oh, well that's cool." Graham retorted, mentally taking notes.

Buffy smiled at Riley and started her own conversation with him.  She didn't know what it was about him that attracted her so much but she couldn't seem to draw her attention away from him. The group was drawn out of their conversations as someone cleared their throat. The men looked at the other man in confusion hoping this was not one of the girl's boyfriends and he was about to start a scene.

"Umm so I was only gone a few minutes."

"It's ok Xander.  This is Riley, Graham, and Forrest. They go to UC Sunnydale."

"Oh."

"Well, we actually have to be going soon anyway.  We just came in to get a quick breakfast to go." Riley said, starting to get up.

"Yea, we have that meeting in about an hour." Graham said, looking at his watch, while following Riley's lead.

"Oh well ok." Buffy said, disappointed.

"Listen can I um…can I have your number?" Riley asked hesitantly, looking at the group around the table.

"Ugh sure." Buffy smiled, reaching into her purse for a pen. Quickly jotting down her number she handed it over and received a promise that he would call her later.  As the door closed Buffy waited a second incase one of them happened to come back in before squealing in happiness.  Jumping up and down in her seat she looked back and forth between her best friends.

"Tell me he wasn't the cutest thing you ever saw!"

"One of the cutest." Willow said, cutting into her French toast.

"Oh come on Wills.  He was charming."

"He was.  I just thought it was a little weird how they came in looked right at us and came over. Not to mention left right after that."

"Wills…C'mon…Your ruining it for me. Now I'm gonna think he has some ulterior motive or something.  He's not a vamp! I can be thankful for that at least." Buffy whined.

"That's always a plus in my book." Xander said, earning a glare from the girls.

~Part: 8~

Riley looked at Professor Walsh with a steady face.  He was going to be stern about this.  He knew he was right and he wasn't going to back down.  He didn't care what she was about to say.

"I agree Agent Finn."

"Excuse me?"

"I said I agree with you. It will be too obvious if all three of you are together all the time.  You are to be the main undercover agent.  You have made contact with the target and that is a step in the right direction Agent Finn.  I hope to see more of this in the future. Please inform Agent Miller and Gates of the change in plans. Nodding at her, Riley excused himself and exited her office.  Making his way through the Initiative and back up to his room he sat down on his bed. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out the napkin Buffy had neatly written her phone number on.  Sighing he picked up the phone and dialed.

Buffy and Willow were sitting in her room, laughing and catching up on old times when her mom called up.

"Buffy, you have a phone call."

"Ok, I'll take it up here mom."

Looking at Willow, Buffy smiled hopefully and picked up the phone.  "Got it!" Hearing her mother hang the phone up down stairs she spoke into the phone. "Hello?"

"Hi Buffy…It's Riley, we ugh met at the diner this morning."

"Riley hi, how are you?" Buffy said, hitting Willow's arm and giving her a look.

"I'm good. Actually I was wondering if you had any plans today?"

"Um well no I don't think I do."

"Ok, well um what I mean is do ugh…would…would you maybe like to go to a ugh movie and grab a late lunch?"

"Sure that sounds great."

"Really? I mean um great. What time should I pick you up? Or we could meet up or you could um come here.  Whatever you want." Riley babbled.

"Riley, you can come here, say 12:30? So I have time to get ready?"

"Sure that's fine."

Buffy smiled at Willow and proceeded to give him directions to her house. After a few more minutes of conversation they ended their phone call.  Buffy hung the phone up and looked at Willow with a smile on her face.

"I have a date!"

"So I heard!"

"We're going to a movie and a late lunch!"

"Oh Buffy, I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks Wills.  Just think pretty soon if things work out with me and Riley, we could double date with you and Angel."

Willow laughed and hugged Buffy. "I hope so."

"Now lets find something for me to where, I only have…an hour and 45 minutes to shower, get dressed and do my make-up and hair."

"Well lets get moving."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Riley parked the SUV he borrowed from the Initiative in front of Buffy's house.  He sat there for a few moments thinking.  This was going to be hard. He had real feelings for this girl and he didn't want to hurt her.  He knew that was inevitable, but he had a job to do.  He couldn't quit the Initiative, although sometimes he wished he could.  He would follow through with this assignment and try not to fall too hard. He'd try not to hurt her, he really would, he only hoped that he could follow through with that.

Riley stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door.  Taking a deep breath he rang the bell and took a step back. Quickly checking over his appearance he smiled in satisfaction.  The door opened and he smiled at the older woman, who must have been Buffy's mother. He could see where Buffy got her looks from, there was no doubt about that. She was an attractive woman.

"Hello Ma'am. I'm Riley Finn, Buffy's date."

"Hello Riley, I'm Joyce, Buffy's mother, please come in."

"Thank you." Riley said, stepping into the house.

After she closed the door Riley looked back at Joyce. "Um well this is for you.  I ugh wasn't sure what Buffy would like and since I hadn't met you I thought I should at least bring something…" Riley stammered, handing Joyce a Daisy.

"Why thank you. That was very thoughtful of you Riley. And Buffy Loves Daisy's so you're in luck." Riley smiled and nodded at her.

"Well let me go see if she's ready, have a seat." Joyce said, pointing toward the sofa in the next room.

"Thank you ma'am."

"Please, call me Joyce. And I'll be right back." Joyce said, walking upstairs to get her daughter.

*~*~*~*~*~*~

Joyce knocked on her daughter's door and pushed it open.

"Buffy honey? Riley is here."

"What? He's five minutes early!" Buffy exclaimed, hurrying to get ready.

"Well it's better then being five minutes late right?" Joyce asked, watching as her daughter finished with her make-up.

"I guess so. It's just I needed a few more minutes." She pouted.

"You look great."

"Yea Buff, you look perfect." Willow said, from her position on the bed.

"Ok. So I guess I have to go down stairs now right?"

"That would help." Joyce joked.

Buffy took a deep breath and looked in the mirror one last time.  Making sure everything was in place and she looked alright in her pink summer dress she smiled.  This was it.  She was going out, on a date.  She had a date! This was good.  She could do it.  Buffy thought, taking a deep breath.

"Ok, lets get going."

The three women smiled at each other and walked downstairs.

Riley stood as he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.  Grabbing the daisy he'd set aside he made his way into the hall by the stairs.  He smiled at Mrs. Summers and noticed the girl from diner, Buffy's friend, Willow. Then he noticed Buffy.  God she was beautiful.  She was wearing a pale pink dress with little cream and yellow flowers on it. He noticed she was carrying a cream sweater and knit purse.  She was stunning.

"Wow.  Buffy you look great."

"Thanks. So do you."  Buffy said, admiring the way his jeans fit him just right.  He was clad in a pair of form- fitting faded blue jeans and a gray pull over polo shirt.  She thought he looked absolutely scrumptious.

"Oh um this is for you." Riley said, handing her the daisy.

"Oh wow. Thanks." Buffy said, smelling the flower. Smiling she handed the flower to Willow. "Take care of this for me Wills?"

"Sure thing.  Have fun and call me later." Willow said, smiling at her friend.

"Angel's?"

"Um yea?" Willow asked, hoping it wouldn't be a problem.

"Ok Bye." Buffy said, with a smile. After hugging her friend she gave her mother a quick hug and promised to be back by curfew.

"Have fun you two." Joyce told them as they walked out.

"Thanks mom, we will." Buffy said, closing the door.

Joyce turned and looked at Willow. "Well now, lets put these in some water shall we?"

~Part: 9~

Willow sighed as she stood outside the apartment door.  She didn't understand why she felt so weird about going in there now.  Nothing had changed. Well, ok, that wasn't true a lot had changed.  She just wasn't sure of what to expect. She felt different now.  The last time she had walked in there, she was just his friend.  Now she was a girlfriend.  *His* girlfriend. *Oh boy*, Willow thought.

Angel stood against the door way that lead to the kitchen, deep in thought. He could feel Willow out in the hallway.  She had been standing there for a good five minutes. Did she not want to come in?  Had she changed her mind about them?

Just then he heard a light knock. He quickly made his way over and opened the door.  Smiling down at the red head he opened the door wider and allowed her to enter.

"Hi" Willow said quietly, walking into the living room.

"Hi." Angel responded, dropping a quick kiss on her lips.

"Buffy um had a uh date so I came over here."

"A date?" Angel asked, confused.

"Yea, at the diner this morning we met these guys and one of them called Buffy asking her to a movie and a late lunch." Willow explained.

"Oh that's nice…we?" Angel asked, lowering his head slightly while looking away.

Well, it was nice while it lasted, Angel thought. At least she was telling him the truth. This must be the part where she tells him they had fun but she's found a nice human boy to take care of her now. He never thought Willow would be like that. He thought he knew her, but he obviously didn't.

"What?" Willow frowned.

"We met guys…"

"Oh no! I just meant that I was there when they came for Buffy, no I mean, wait, there were three guys, Riley, Graham and Forrest.  Riley is the one that is on the date with Buffy. They were kinda just there I guess, because Riley wanted to meet Buffy.  They didn't really talk that much so they weren't interested I don't think."

"I see." Angel said, clearly not happy.

So they had made an attempt to talk. The stupid boys didn't know how to woo a woman. They probably sat there and stared at the beautiful creature that Willow was. Angel wasn't sure weather to be happy or not. On one hand it seems they hadn't made any moves on her, but on the other hand they made her feel like she wasn't as important. Well, he'd fix that. If she decided to stay that was.

Willow smiled and shook her head. "Angel.  If they were interested in anyone it was Buffy not me."

Angel smiled and pulled her into his arms. Hugging her close to him he dropped a kiss on the top of her head.

"I'm sorry. I just don't want to lose you."

"You won't." Willow said, squeezing him tight.

Just then Willow's stomach started to growl and she laughed.

"I'm hungry."

"I heard. C'mon we'll make some popcorn and watch a movie."

"Sounds good to me." Willow said happily as they walked into the kitchen. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Riley smiled as he held the door open for Buffy.  They were now getting ready for their late lunch, or judging from the time early dinner. Riley sighed softly, he was having a good time with Buffy. He hadn't noticed anything about her that was unusual.  He just knew Walsh was wrong.  He had no idea as to why she was in the cemetery last night but he was sure it had nothing to do with vampires.  She couldn't possibly know what went bump in the night.

Buffy smiled to herself.  She was having such a great time.  Although they hadn't really had a chance to talk much, being in the movie theater and all, but she still felt like she was getting to know Riley.  She noticed how much of a gentleman he was and how very polite he was being.  She learned that he was from Iowa and was very well mannered.  He had an excellent relationship with his family and as far as she could tell had dated very few girls.  While he had learned that she had a rather dry but funny sense of humor and had a tense relationship with her absent father.  Most of this having been learned on the way to the movies and while waiting for the picture to start.

They were now sitting down to eat at the same diner they had met in that very morning.  Things were going great for the both of them. They were getting along and although they hadn't really talked since the movie she still felt at ease around him.  Was it a sign maybe?  That she could be completely over Angel and move on now.  Maybe things were going to be ok with her and Riley. She would really like that, Buffy decided.

"So you feel like anything special?" Riley asked, looking over the menu.

"Um not really.  I'll just have my normal."

"And what's that?"

"Chef Salad."

"Salad? That's it?"

"Well, yea, I'm not really hungry…"

"You have to have more then that.  Salad isn't a meal…it's…it's a snack. You have to be hungry.  I bet you haven't eaten anything since this morning and that wasn't a breakfast you had either. My mother would throw a fit if she knew I didn't feed my date."

"Well, actually I guess I am kinda hungry.  I'll skip the salad today and have a nice greasy bugger and fries, kay?" Buffy laughed.

"Good. Hmm now what should I have…"

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"So how do you think Buffy is doing?" Willow asked, breaking away from Angel's kiss.

"I don't know.  I hope she's having as much fun as I am." Angel said, kissing around her jaw down to her neck. "Mmm but they ugh should be having lunch now.  I-I hope mmm they're getting along." Willow said, as Angel continued his ministrations

"Yea." Angel moaned.

"I-I was thinking that…maybe we could all mmm go out sometime." Willow asked, playing with the back of his hair.

"That would be nice." Angel smiled.

"Really?" Willow asked, pulling away.

"Sure.  I don't mind."

"Oh that's great.  Buffy will be so happy." Willow said, bouncing in her seat.

"It was Buffy's idea?"

"Well, yea. She mentioned that if things go well with her and Riley that we could double date sometime." Angel nodded thoughtfully. "Ok."

Willow smiled to herself and rested her head on his arm.  Buffy was taking things so much better then she had thought she would.  When she had suggested that they all get together sometime, well, Willow was shocked to say the least. But she was happy.  Happy that her friend was obviously moving on with her life and her past relationship with Angel wasn't going to hold her back anymore.  Buffy was so much more like her old self now that Willow wasn't about to complain.  She knew that her friend had been moving slowly but surly toward forgiving herself and Angel.  It looked like she had finally done that.  She knew that Buffy and Angel needed to talk still. There was so much they needed to clear up and as Buffy's best friend she knew it had to be done in order for the healing process to be complete.  But she wasn't worried. She knew things would work out for the best and that was what was important.

"I have an idea…" Angel said.

"What?" Willow smiled.

"How about you go take a relaxing bath and when you come out I'll have a nice romantic dinner ready for you." Angel said, kissing all over her face.

"That sounds really good." Willow moaned.

Angel smiled and continued to kiss his love.  Slowly he made his way to her lips.  Just as he was about to kiss her he pulled back slightly and looked her in the eye.

"We should get moving."

Willow stared at him for a moment before reaching behind his head and pulling him down to her for a passionate kiss. Willow reveled in the way her body reacted to him.  Just a simple kiss had made her so hot and wanting.  She wasn't sure if she could take it anymore.  She wanted him so bad.  He made her feel things she was sure were against the law.

Angel moaned into her mouth.  She tasted so good.  He felt like he had to devour her or he'd die of insanity.  Things were moving so fast, but then not fast enough.  He knew it was important to wait but his demon raged against its cage to take her, to make her his.  For once in his life he thought he agreed with it.  Every fiber in his being ached to make her his.  To claim the girl that had captured his heart and tamed the demon.  There were no doubts in his mind that she was the one for him, his demon agreed a hundred percent with the soul that she was it.  She truly was his soul mate.

"Mmm Wills.  I should start on dinner now." Angel said, punctuating every other word with a kiss.

"Ok." Willow said, kissing him back.

Angel deepened the kiss once more for a few moments before pulling back. He watched as her chest rose and fell with each breath she took, causing her breasts to heave.

"I-I'll be in the kitchen." Angel said, before getting up and making his way into the kitchen.

Willow sat on the couch for a few moments trying to catch her breath.  She knew one thing for sure.  That man could kiss.

Willow giggled at her thoughts and made her way into the spacious bathroom. This was one of her favorite rooms in his apartment.  She could spend a lot of time in here she decided. Everything was decorated in dark blues and golds. The counter top was a black marble, which gave the room an added oomph. He had a huge tub, that she was sure could fit about three people. An assortment of bath oils and bubbles lined back of the tub and candles sat all around.  She was sure he spent hours in this room, soaking in the tub. *Soaking in the tub, naked, with bubbles dribbling down his muscular chest…* Bad thoughts Willow, she chided herself. *Thinking of a naked Angel isn't going to do you any good.* Willow thought to herself.  *Yea but its fun.* Willow giggled again and started the water for her bath, after pouring in some sweet smelling bubbles she undressed and climbed in.

She settled against the back of the tub and sighed softly.  Closing her eyes, Willow felt her self start to relax and let her mind wander.

~Part: 10~

Buffy watched as the food was placed in front of her. Smiling, she watched as Riley started inhaling his as soon it was placed in front of him.

Riley looked up and smiled sheepishly as he noticed her watching him. He'd been so hungry and the food had taken awhile to get there. He really hadn't been thinking as he started eating.

"Hungry?" Buffy joked.

"A bit."

Buffy laughed and ate a french fry. "Well don't let me stop you."

Riley smiled and nodded. He continued to eat at a much slower pace and started talking between bites.

"So how long have you lived in Sunnydale?"

"About three years now."

"Really? That's nice."

"Yea. LA had its highlights but there's just something about good old Sunnydale." Buffy said, hoping he hadn't caught her sarcasm.

"I'll bet."

"So have you been here long?" Buffy asked, changing the topic.

"Almost two years now."

"Coming from Iowa, it must have been a change."

"It has its highlights." Riley laughed. "It's a lot different then Iowa but I get a little home sick at times."

"Really?"

"Yea. There are just some things at home you can't replace you know."

"Yea." Buffy agreed, thoughtfully.

"So your friend, Willow, does she have a boyfriend?"

"What?" Buffy asked, worried he wasn't really interested in her, but Willow.

This is so not good. Was he really interested in Willow? Maybe he had taken her out so he could get closer to her friend. Buffy felt her eyes welling up with tears. Just when she thought it was safe. This couldn't be happening. What would she do? How could she face Willow? Knowing that it was she Riley wanted.

"Does she have a boyfriend? I think my friend might be interested in her." Riley continued, unaware of the internal dilemma Buffy was engaged in.

"Your friend?" Buffy asked, looking up hopefully from the table.

"Yea, Graham, the big lunk-head that was sitting next to her."

"Oh…Oh! Graham. Um well yea she does have a boyfriend actually." Buffy said.

"Oh that's too bad. He didn't say anything to me but I think he might have been interested." Riley said, finishing his food.

"Oh. Well she just started seeing an old friend of ours."

"Well that's ok. He'll find someone else I'm sure."

Buffy nodded and continued to eat the rest of her food. To bad her friend had started seeing Angel. She could have been dating a college boy instead of a vampire. Oh well. Willow was happy and that's all that mattered to her.

Angel smiled as he placed the two plates on the table. So far everything was perfect. All he had to do was pour some wine and light the candle on the table. He'd transformed the kitchen into a romantic setting. Well, as best he could with the limited amount of time and space he'd had. The counters were covered in candles of all different sizes and shapes. And he'd turned on his stereo so it was softly playing.

Looking at the time, Angel made his way over to the bathroom. Knocking softly he told Willow everything was ready.

"Ok Angel, I'll be right there." Willow called out.

Walking back into the kitchen, Angel finished the last of the preparations. This was going to be a special night. He could feel it. His demon was calm, almost peaceful, except for the random thoughts he sent Angel every so often about claiming the red-head. In time, he thought, in time.

Willow stepped out of the bathroom and made her way into the kitchen. She gasped in delight as she took in the sight before her. She couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. Suddenly she felt underdressed for such a romantic setting. Willow turned, about to go in search of something else to wear when she felt strong arms wrap around her waist.

"Leaving so soon?" "No. I just wanted to find something else to wear. Everything looks perfect, I'm a little underdressed though." Willow said, turning to face him.

"You look wonderful." Angel purred, bending down to better reach her lips.

Breaking away from the brief kiss, Willow looked toward the table. Noticing two plates she looked at Angel confused.

"You're eating too?"

"Yea. I thought it would be rude to just watch you eat."

"That's so sweet." Willow said, kissing him again.

Angel pulled away from the kiss after a moment and directed her to the table. After pulling her chair out for her, he walked to the other side of the table and sat down. He picked up his glass of wine and held it up. Smiling Willow followed suit and held her glass up also.

"To us. May this be the start of a long and happy relationship." Angel toasted.

Willow smiled and agreed, clinking her glass with his before taking a drink.

"Now lets eat. I would have made something else but I didn't have much and really not enough time."

Willow smiled and took a bite of her spaghetti. "Everything is perfect Angel. I wouldn't change a thing, well maybe what I'm wearing but other then that everything is great."

"You look beautiful Willow. Don't worry about anything. I want this to be your night."

"Our night." Willow smiled, reaching across the table for his hand.

"Our night then." Angel agreed, rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb.

Willow smiled and continued to eat, never letting go of his hand. This was the happiest night of her life and she knew this was only the beginning. Being with Angel would only bring her happiness and love. She knew to expect many more romantic dinners from him. That and much more.
