Willow opened the door and saw the box on the step. It was big and brightly wrapped. Spike came out of his room to see who was at the door.
"You idiot." he said angrily, going up to Willow. "I told you not to answer the door. What if he'd been waiting for you? You'd be dead. Why don't you listen?"
Willow scowled. Yesterday, he had come back from his walk and gone straight to his room. He had ignored her all day. She had thought the kiss was sensational. He seemed to want to forget it ever happened. Well, fine. He could. She was tired of his superior attitude. "Quit talking to me as if I were a child. I am NINETEEN! I can open the blood door if I want to." she declared.
Spike fought a smile. She was spectacular when she was angry. It was the only time she allowed her inner fire to be seen. "You could have died. Promise me you won't be that foolish again."
Willow looked at him, surprised to see his eyes serious. He was worried that she might have died. (Goddess...does that mean he care?) She nodded. 'What-ever."
He looked at the box."What's that?"
"That was what I was trying to find out." she said. 'before your little temper tantrum." She smiled sweetly.
Growling, he picked up the box and brought it inside. The only thing on the front was a small white card that read
Willow---have fun...... A Friend
"It's for you."
"Really?" Willow's face lit up.
She grabbed the box and sat down. She looked at the card but didn't recognize the handwriting. Curious, she opened it slightly. Her face turned the color of her hair. Spike saw her blush and was curious to know what was in the box. He started to look, but she hurriedly shut it.
"Ju...just a joke." she said. "I'm going back to my room." she took the box and almost ran, slamming the door behind her.
Spike was dieing to know what she had received that would cause that sort of reaction. Smiling, he knew that she couldn't stay with the box all the time. He'd have his chance. Whistling, he went to the kitchen. He decided to make her some lunch. She looked like she hadn't slept very well.
Willow sat on the bed and took the lid off of the box. "I'm going to kill her." she said softly.
The box contained a wide assortment of toys and such.
"Did she buy out the entire store?" she lifted out several kinds of lotion.
she smelled the and smiled, their scent was pleasant...some oil...even candles...
"Oh my...wow." She looked at the object, running her hands over it. Suddenly, it started to move.
Startled, she threw it on the bed. "Smart Willow. Get a grip."
she turned the thing off and continued to look through the box.
"What on earth is that?...hmmm....a blindfold? leather restraints? God, Buffy...you are more perverse than I thought..."
Shaking her head, she put everything back into the box. She then put it in the bottom of her closet.
"Thank god Spike didn't see that....I'd have died of embarrassment. I can't believe she'd send me that stuff here. I am seriously going to kill her...."
Willow sat on the bed and grabbed a book. She kept stealing glances at the closet....her mind running through all sorts of scenarios....
Fate smiled. He knew that Spike's curiosity would
get the better of him. He was wondering how the vampire would react when
he saw those toys in Willow's room. Maybe it would be enough to convince
him that she was a woman...hell, Fate hoped he wanted to use the toys.
He'd spent enough money on them. If this kept up, his credit card might
end up maxed out. He thought of Willow and Spike and the sparks he had
seen....It would be worth it, he decided. Now, it was time to do something
about that bathroom. Chuckling, he disappeared.
