Clutching onto her bag tightly, she boarded the afternoon bus. Glancing her eyes over the other passengers of the bus, Willow quietly took her seat and started to relax. Placing her bag underneath the seat, she stared out the window. Out to the life she had been living. Placing her palm against the window, she could feel the warmth of the sun, but it was different now. Everything was different now. "Goodbye," she whispered. "Goodbye." Saying goodbye to her old life, she leaned her head against the window, letting memories wash over her.
It had been six moths since the destruction of Sunnydale. Six months since their lives had changed forever. Six months since Spike died saving the world.
She didn't know why but she had thought about Spike quite a bit since he had died. She knew he died for a purpose, for a reason but she still missed him. And it's not like they were even friends because they weren't. Therefore, she didn't understand why she missed him.
Of course, secretly she knew why. Spike had become a constant presence in their lives. He had fought beside them and even defended them, when needed. She missed that. Life could change in a moment. Within seconds, everything you know.everyone you care about.it could all change. Constants were far and too few in between.
The rest of her friends had started moving on with their lives. They had all started towards their roads of happiness.except for her. She didn't like the town they decided to take residence in. After so many years on the Hellmouth, this town seemed too quiet. She didn't feel needed or useful here. She didn't feel like her.
Willow told her friends goodbye and was now on the bus waiting to leave. She needed to find herself. She wanted to be where she was needed. Willow was on her way to visit old friends. She was on her way to L.A.
