Feeling the bus stop, Willow stood up and grabbed her bag, making her way off the bus. Looking up at the sky, she figured she still had a couple of hours of daylight left. Looking around at her surroundings, sudden doubt flooded her. What if she was making a mistake? What if they really didn't want her there? What if they didn't like her? Would she be useful to them? Would seeing Angel remind her of Spike?
Pushing all thoughts to the back of her mind, she stepped forward and waved down a cab. Climbing in, she let out a deep breath. Telling the driver her destination, she leaned back and waited.
Willow watched out the window as the cab sped through the streets of L.A. She watched as house after house and building after building passed by her very eyes.
Willow felt the cab stop moments later and climbed out, paying the driver. Clutching her bag, she looked up at the building. A hotel. It seemed so large and at that very moment she seemed so small. Almost insignificant.
Walking up to the front of the building, she wondered how to enter. Should she knock? Walk right in? It was a hotel after all. A business. Making her decision, she pushed open the door and walked in.
Willow heard something above her head and looked to see what it could possibly be. Seeing it, she grinned. Someone had covered the bell with tape, obviously annoyed with it's ringing. No one had noticed her presence yet. She saw Cordelia behind the computer and Wesley in an office on the other side of the room. And there sitting on a couch, she saw a man and a woman who she could only assume was Fred and Gunn from various but not frequent phone calls from Angel. It was then that she heard voices coming down the hallway. Angel and.Spike?
"Can't you find something to do, Spike? Why must you annoy me?" Angel asked the younger vampire.
"Cause it's fun? Besides you bloody well deserve it!"
And that was when she saw him. Walking. Talking. His usual cockiness. His everyday smirk. He was ok and not burned. How is that possible? She gasped and took a deep breath, realizing that it really was him.
The gasp made both vampires freeze and look towards the door. The room was in complete silence.
"Spike?" she whispered, still not believing her eyes.
Spike nodded his head once. "Hello, Red."
