"You want to be mine?" he asked carefully.

"Yeah," Willow replied softly.

"For how long?"

"What?"

"For how long?"

"How long do you want me for?"

"What if I say forever?"

"I can't give you that, Spike. I.this is new and."

He held his fingers to her lips. "Sshh. It's alright, luv. I had to try, though."

"You could always keep trying," she said, smirking at him.

"I'll have to keep that in mind." Spike decided to lie down once again next to her, pulling her close.

"I do want to be yours, Spike. And do you want to.um.be mine?" she asked hopefully.

Spike looked into Willow's eyes, seeing her emotions. "In my eyes, I already am." Watching her smile, he leaned in, letting his lips brush against hers in a soft kiss.

"Let's go back to the hotel, Spike," Willow mentioned.

Confusion ran through his body. Pulling back slightly, he gave her a funny look. "Did I do something wrong, pet?"

"What?"

"You want to end our date and I thought."

"Not end it," she said quickly. "I just thought I could be with you and hold you and sleep next to you.you know, in your bed."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. Unless you don't want and."

"I want, luv. It sounds great." He sat up and grabbed her hand. "Let's go. The sooner I can lay down with you in my arms, the better."

Willow stood to the side as Spike folded up the blanket, placing it back into the compartment.

He watched as Willow slid on the bike and then walked over to her. He sat on the bike facing her.

"Um.Spike. You're sitting facing the wrong direction. It's gonna be kinda hard to drive facing me."

Spike placed his hands on her hips, lifting her up to straddle his hips. "We'll leave in a minute, luv."

"Ok," she smiled. She nuzzled into his neck, enjoying the moment. "I like it here."

"In the park?"

"With you. Close to you." Willow interlocked her fingers with his and rested her head on his chest.

"I like being with you, too. I'm content with you. Let's get on back, I want to hold you."

"Spike, when I decide to let you.shag me, can we be on your bike?"

Spike eyes widened at her question. "Huh?"

"Just kidding, Spike." She watched as he started to pout. "Maybe," she promised.

Giving her a quick kiss, he turned around and started the bike, heading down the street.

They entered the hotel quietly. Spike could sense his grand-sire in the kitchen. "Why don't you go upstairs, luv? I need to feed and I'll be up in a bit."

"Ok. Thank you for tonight. I had fun."

"Me too, pet." Holding her hand, he brought it up to his lips. "I'll be up soon," he promised.

After she disappeared up the stairs, he turned around and headed into the kitchen, prepared for anything.

Angel watched as Spike entered the kitchen. Willow's scent was slightly on his grand-childe. "Have fun?"

"Actually, I did," Spike smiled knowing it would piss Angel off even more.

After changing into a t-shirt and a pair of boxer shorts, Willow realized she wanted a drink before she layed down with Spike. Quietly she made it down the stairs, stopping right outside of the kitchen doors, listening to Spike and Angel argue.

"I can't believe you went out with her, Spike!"

"Why the hell not, mate. She's great, beautiful."

"She's a child."

"She's old enough to decide if she wants to go out with someone."

"She's a human, Spike. A child compared to you and me."

"I don't care about any of this, Peaches. Red knows what I am."

"Does she? Does she really? Does she know the William the Bloody that I know? The ruthless monster that takes as it pleases. The monster that kills everything else."

"Knowing Red, she already read up about me."

Willow smiled. He seemed to know her well. She knew she shouldn't listen but couldn't move away from that place. She wanted to know what else Spike had to say about her.

"She's wonderful, Peaches. I forgot how deeply enthralled I could be with a woman. I would give her anything."

"What about your heart or your love? Oh no, can't give her that, can you? That already belongs to Buffy."

Willow froze. She felt as if her heart had stopped. She couldn't breath. She waited for Spike to deny it but heard silence. She wanted to cry. Quickly she turned and ran to her room, shutting the door behind her. Collapsing on her bed, Willow broke down into tears.

"Past tense, Peaches. Don't love the Slayer. Maybe never did. See Red has had my heart for a while. She dated people that weren't worth her time and I cared for her so much. Slayer isn't even part of the picture anymore. My heart belongs to Willow." Turning around he left the kitchen.

Just as he reached the hallway, he froze. Willow had been here and not too long ago. Her scent was in the air. Dread filled his body. Quickly, Spike made it to her room. He pounded on her door. "Red, open up. I know you're in there. Open up. Please," he pleaded.

Willow had been standing on the other side of the door, listening to his pleadings. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she opened the door and looked down at the floor. She couldn't face him.

He saw her red eyes. The scent of salt was thick in the air. He wasn't sure what she had heard but had a good idea that she got it wrong. He had just confessed to his grand-sire that his heart belonged to Willow, but her tears weren't of happiness. He took a step towards her and noticed that she took a step back. "Thought you were gonna sleep in my room tonight?" he whispered, trying to fight his own tears back. "In my arms."

"Changed my mind," she whispered.

"Red."

"Don't Spike. Just please leave."

"No! I don't want to leave. Talk to me."

Willow could feel fresh tears threatening to fall down her face. "I can't. I just want to go to sleep."

Spike watched as she shut the door in his face. He stood there for a moment listening as she broke down in tears once again. Sadly, he walked back to his room. He felt rejected once again.
