Willow woke up and glanced at her clock. 4:00 AM. Looking around she realized she was back in her room. 'Wonder how that happened. Last thing I remember was watching TV with Spike.' Shrugging the thought away, she closed her eyes, but nothing happened. She couldn't fall back asleep. Willow knew she had been waking up for over an hour and it looked like fate had other ideas than sleep for her. Realizing she still had her clothes on, Willow climbed out of bed and threw on a t-shirt and a pair of boxer shorts. Quietly she walked out of her room and down to Spike's room.
She knocked lightly on the door, not wanting to be loud.
"Go away," he growled.
"Spike?" she whispered.
Hearing her voice, he sat up. "Red? Come on in." As she opened the door, he turned on the bedside lamp. "You ok?" he asked noticing she had only taken a few steps into the room.
"I'm fine."
"It's kinda early, even for you. Wanna tell me what's going on?"
Willow tried to keep her eyes on his face and not his half naked body. 'You don't think of Spike that way!' "Just restless. New place and everything, I think."
"I could always use a bit of company. Care to stay?"
"Here," she squeaked.
"Yes, bloody well here." He flipped down the covers, revealing he was wearing black silk boxers. "If you're staying, get in the bed."
"Maybe I should go. I didn't mean to disturb you."
"You could stay," he pleaded. "Please."
As Willow started walking towards the bed, she asked one last question. "You won't try anything?"
"Not unless you want me to," he smirked.
"Funny," she replied dryly.
"I try. Now get in bed so we can get some sleep."
Willow climbed into his bed and snuggled under the sheets and into his arms. As he wrapped his arms around her, she melted into sleep.
