~Song Lyrics~

~Each day my shortcomings pick my pockets
My faults are letters carved in stone
As meaningful to you as words written on water
I'm left to walk this world alone~

"Look, it's the traitor." Buffy sniped when Willow walked into the room.

"Buffy, enough. Giles asked me to help."

"Why did you come? We don't need you."

Angel walked over to where Willow was working on the computer.

"Willow." he started.

"Angel, I don't want to hear it. You hurt me more than Spike ever could."

~In a broken mold they made me
The black sheep of the family
Worth less than zero my opinion
And room temperature IQ~

Willow hated it how Angel thought she could not think for herself and told her constantly that Spike was a soulless demon that would hurt her.  Yes,
she knew what Spike was, she had known it from the first time she saw him. Angel and the others were caught in the mind frame that you had to have a soul to love. Which wasn't true.  Angel had pretended to love her, but in reality he didn't.  Spike really did love her, and didn't judge her like the others.

She tended to avoid Buffy because the slayer reminded her every time they met that either she was a traitor for turning to Spike, or that Angel never loved her because she wasn't pretty enough.  That he only pretended to love her so that he could get back into the slayer's good graces so he could be with her again.

She dreaded helping Giles because things almost always turned ugly when she refused to leave at the request of Buffy, miss the-world-revolves
around-me-and you-better-do-what-I-say.

~I did something, now I'm nothing
Always wrong with this or that
Poisoned with fear watch it twist
My measly brain mad~

Willow refused to stop helping Giles research because she knew that she was useful even if no one else wanted to admit it.  Whenever Giles defended her, Buffy always brought up her mistakes in spells.  Angel always stood behind Buffy, which ticked her off even more.

Angel seemed jealous of her being with Spike, not realizing what he had until he lost it.

~Talk about me when my back is turned
Next we meet it will be too late
The memory burned in my ears of what you said
And now I've got a recipe for hate, taste it~

She refused to listen to him.  Spike had heard rumors being told about her, mainly started by the slayer.  Ugly rumors that Willow was with Spike even when she was with Angel.

No. Angel may have been with Buffy, but she never was with Spike.  She wasn't like Buffy and the Slayer refused to see that.  It may have been in
the slayer's nature, but it wasn't in her nature.

~Dark clouds on the horizon
Make it hard to breathe
A walking mistake but every time
I run away, I just come back for more~

Great. Now there was a prophecy and they had to work together.  As much as they tried to get rid of her, she stayed.  It may have been not wanting to see the truth, but she knew they needed her.  She found most of the information that they needed on the computer faster than they did in the books.

They may be quitters, but she wasn't.
