Helena Stecker completed undergraduate degrees in psychology, creative writing, and social work from York University and received a master of social work degree from the University of Toronto. She is currently employed as a social worker at the William Osler Health Centre in Toronto, working primarily in the area of neurological rehabilitation. She wrote entries for the EBS on
