Reviews for Wishing for Normality

Oh Dawn, you selfish girl!! I guess it makes sense that she doesn't have powers or anything that she couldn't stand the pressures of that life... but ultimately she's taken the easy way out and let everyone down. When you think about it the story has kind of a Return of the King vibe to it... when the journey ends, Dawn can't move on. A nicely crafted tale of human frailty.

Author's Response: I never thought the show really let us see how Dawn felt about her fake life. We saw (in the first few episodes after her finding out) her struggle with accepting it, but what about after the "acceptance". She is still bound to feel guilty about all sorts of crazy things that she really had no control over. I just wanted to show that Dawn thought everyones life would be better without her in it, so she took herself out of their lives. It was a selfish thing to do, if you really think on it, but at the same time, she wasn't wishing to disappear because of her "lace of a place in the world" she was leaving because she wanted to enhance everyone elses lives, and thought (with her insane troll logic) that after people finished grieving they would be better off. Whether or not that happens depends on the people and the support system they have. If people want me to, I am going to maybe branch this out into a full length story about everyones struggle and acceptance of Dawn's becoming the Key again. Thanks for the review, sorry my response is so very long! -Marissa
