Ford, ein alter Schulkamerad von Buffy aus L.A., will in Sunnydale die Schule beenden. Der eifersüchtige Angel stellt zusammen mit Willow Nachforschungen über Ford an. Das Ergebnis ist alles andere als beruhigend: Ford gehört einer Gruppe von jungen Leuten an, deren größter Wunsch wäre, Vampir zu sein. Ford will nun Buffy dem Vampir Spike ausliefern, im Gegenzug soll ihn dieser in einen Vampir verwandeln. Doch Buffy kommt Ford auf die Schliche.
