Poll Me -

Last week we asked, "What genre show are you looking forward to seeing the most this season?" The results...

Star Trek: Enterprise - 25.8%
Tru Calling - 21.4%
Alias - 11.3%
Lost - 11.3%
HMC: Live! - 9.2%
Smallville - 7.3%
Stargate SG-1 - 5.4%
Other (comment) - 4.9%
Dead Like Me - 3.2%

Total votes: 631

Trekkies came out in full force to win this one. I can't believe that there are that many Tru fans, and the J.J Abrams shows tied each other (which is kind of funny in a not-sort-of way). Comments?

"wow...the rest of the people on this site are trekies...*shakes head*"
- Kate

"tru calling. no question. eliza dushku rules. as does HMC by the way."
- caitse

"Tru Calling... The first season started to get more entertaining, interesting...a LITTLE less formulaic... (c'mon, there wil NEVER be anything close to what we're all used to...)"
- Sarcastic Voice

"I've actually heard a lot of good things about Smallville for this upcoming season, so I've gotta go with that. Though, that doesn't say a lot considering the current state of television. *sigh* What are we to do in a Jossless TV world?"
- Reisita

"HMC: Live! Not like I watch anything else......besides,it doesn't hurt to kiss some ass now and then."
- Magik

Matt: Good point.

"Star Trek: Enteprise deserves another chance. The only thing that can save this show are the fans, and this we know how to make it. A Star Trek Ultra Fan from Brazil. Fortune Favors the Bold!!"
- Eduardo Augusto Cordeiro

Matt: Did anyone understand that?

"I voted for STARGATE SG-1 because it's the only intelligent sci-fi show currently airing, and the only one worth saving. I mean, ENTERPRISE? Come on - it's the worst Star Trek series to date, and that's saying a lot."
- An Influential Man

"The return of Family Guy... which finally gives us a chance to throw that shit into Fox's face... along with giving me a chance to get my Seth Green on."
- Amber

Matt: How does one get one's "seth green on"? And does one have to watch that pile of crap "Without a Paddle" to do this? Cause if so, count me out.

"This show really showed it's strength in Season 3, roll on 4."
- James Masterson

Matt: OH! I agree! Except for the fact that I have no flippin' clue which show you're talking about.

"With new scribe Manny Coto (who, unlike producers Berman and Braga, is a TOS fan) at the helm, Enterprise looks to continue the improvement evidenced last season by about ten fold. I appreciated the stories authored by Mr. Coto last season. He shows great promise; upcoming storylines penned by him are sounding like a true Trek prequel. Pity he didn't take over two years ago. Add in Connor Trinneer and you've got yourself a winner."
- Georgia

Matt: My eyes hurt from trying to read all those words.

"I ain't lookin' forward to anything. Isn't that sad?"
- jojo

Matt: Not at all. There's this thing called "fresh air". Just take a few steps towards your front door. You'll find it there.

"I got VERY into Alias this summer. Can't wait for the 3rd season to make its way to DVD. Prolly commit homicide waiting for January. I'm waiting for Alias because I hate Jack on Tru Calling."
- mrsmarsters

"Tru Calling sucks major arse, I'm sorry to say. It aired for just six weeks weeks here in Oz and died a ratings hell death. I watched 4 eps and thought it too woeful to continue. Any Jossverse fans who feel this show is a worthy contender to Buffy/Angel should hand thier life-time membership cards in at the door. Enterprise is for nerds who like big hair 80's power ballads. Smallville is a neat little program that's well made but often leans towards the mundane. Alias, on the other hand, is an awsome epic show that uses big plots and small charater moments to great effect....sorta like another show featuring a kick ass female protaganist."
- Mr. Pointy

Matt: He said "ass".

"No contest...HMC:Live! Though I don't see how it's a genre show...ooh, I get it, that Blanchard dude is an alien, right?"
- Fat Tony

Matt: Well, there was that one time with the anal probe.

"porn. It's the only good thing on tv anymore. Nothing else has a plot."
- brit

"Alias!! Uh, cuz Jennifer Garner is H-O-T! I had to wait and start watching via DVD rentals (b/c Buffy & Angel took so much of my time), but now I am hooked!!"
- RedHeadedWitch

"As much as I look forward to the beginning of Lost, I also look forward to Alias starting off again on the right foot. Viva la Francie clone!" - wb

"I would rather watch some cable access HMC live than anything else. There IS no good television anymore...it's all shite!!!!!"
- Nora

Matt: Hey! We aren't cable access. We're worse than that. Great, now we have to be as good as cable access. Thanks a lot.

The new poll is up. Vote.
