Spoiler Slayer

Short post this morning, waiting for some information myself. In the PM Update, I'll cover my thoughts on the most recent batch of spoilers. If all goes well, I may be doing some serious slayage tomorrow (and it's not anything that I've discussed before).

Herc wrote, asking me to pull the Spike returns spoiler. He feels that Spike will probably not be back in Sunnydale for the finale.

I should also take a moment to clarify the 100/70 percent comment again. I've gotten several e-mails from fans who think that it means that Spike will not return for Season Seven. That is not what the spoiler is stating. But with the latest batch of information from him, the 100/70 ratio doesn't work either. I'm going to do my best to interpret it as I read it.

Since one of the scenes is marked 'Int African Cave', I think it's a safe assumption that Spike will be in the finale. DrLloyd felt that there was a 70% chance that Spike would not be in the finale. However, and I also agree with this strongly (I've been saying as much for weeks), Spike is almost guaranteed not to return to Sunnydale this season. That would be Season Six, not Season Seven. James is contracted for Season Seven, they pulled his character away from the main story arc for several episodes, his scene may be the climax of the season. Is there any doubt that he's going to be back in Sunnydale for the Season Premiere of Season Seven?

Don't worry, Spike isn't going anywhere.
