Buffy was walking home from seeing Dawn when he found her.

"Hi, Buffy," he said. "How are you doing?"

"Riley," she breathed.

"I need your help," he said, "come with me."

He led her down to a dam. A demon was there. She leapt forward and grappled with it for a few moments before she killed it, then a woman showed up and yelled, "Look what you've done!"

"It's okay, honey, she didn't know," Riley replied, "Buffy, I'd like you to meet my wife Sam."

She had done what she thought was right. She was supposed to kill demons, wasn't she? Then Reilly's wife, Sam, showed up. "Why didn't he tell me he had a wife?" she thought miserably. Everyone else was in the living room talking to them, she sat in the kitchen, alone. "There goes my chance at normal. I'm doomed to be abnormal for the rest of my life, " she thought miserably. Now that Riley was unattainable, he suddenly looked really good. Some sorrow was still left over from when he just left last year. She had really missed him. The worst part of this whole mess was that Spike hadn't been home when she got there.

Willow walked in. "Do you want me to hate her for you? I can give her glares from across the room!"

"It's okay, Willow, I'm fine with it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm going to go help them find what they're looking for," she said with a sigh.

"Okay," Willow said uncertainly, "I"ll see you later."

Buffy and Sam had already walked through multiple cemeteries. Sam couldn't stop talking. After a while, Buffy just zoned out. She didn't really feel that bad about Reilly anymore. She had just been a bit surprised to see him. She found her thoughts wandering to her blond boyfriend. As they passed Spike's crypt, she felt the familiar tingling sensation that told her he was there. Just then she had an idea.

"Sam," she said, "I'm going to go talk to one of my contacts. He's kind of...uh...secretive. It would be better if I went alone."

"Okay," Sam said.

Buffy ran to Spike's crypt. She opened the door. "Hi," she said smiling.

He was sitting in his chair reading a book. "Hi," he said back, "What's up?"

She quickly closed the distance between them. "Reilly came back to town."

"Oh," he said, his face falling, "So you're going back to him, then? Well I wish you two the best of luck. Now get the hell out of here?"

"Stupid vampire," Buffy said shaking her head, "I finally realized some things. Like that I never really loved Reilly and I was just looking for someone normal."

"So....you're not leaving me?" he asked hopefully. She straddled his lap.

"Definitely not. There's one more thing I realized: I'm not interested in normal."

"Is that a fact?" he said in a low voice, "What are you interested in, then?"

"You...Spike I want you to make love to me."

Spike was positive he was dreaming. Only dream Buffy ever said those words. His body caught up with reality long before his mind did. He gently pulled off her shirt and unbuttoned her pants. He slid her silk panties over her hips and undid the clasp on her bra. She moaned and arched into his hands as he ghosted them over her breasts. He picked her up and carried her to the sarcophagus that they often used as a bed. He laid her on the sarcophagus and stripped off his own clothes. He skimmed his hand up her inner thigh. He slowly slipped three fingers into her and began to pump them in and out. She moaned loudly and thrashed on the sarcophagus. Her first climax came hard and fast. Spike withdrew his fingers from her and climbed up onto the sarcophagus He positioned himself at her now dripping entrance. Their eyes locked and he slowly slid into her. He gave her a moment to adjust and then he slowly began to move in and out of her.

Their eyes never left each other's. Spike's conveyed only love. "How could I have ever thought that he wasn't capable of love?" Buffy thought. That was her last coherent thought. It was almost agonizing how slow he was moving, but at the same time, it felt wonderful. She wished that they could stay this way forever.

Spike reached between them and rubbed her swollen clit. She could feel the pressure inside of her growing greater. Soon, she reached her climax. Spike came shortly after. They collapsed on their makeshift bed. Spike watched as Buffy's breathing slowed and she fell asleep.

Spike's crypt door flew open, jolting Buffy awake.

"Well, looky here. I don't usually use the word delicious... " Spike said, " ...but I've gotta wager this little tableau must sting a bit, eh? Me and your former? Must kill. What can I say? Girl just needs a little monster in her man. " Buffy elbowed him in the side.

"Be nice," she muttered, looking a little embarrassed.

Then Riley said, "That's not why I'm here ... Doctor."

Spike grabbed his duster and handed it to her. She slipped it on to cover herself. She glanced at Riley. "Didn't you hear what I said?"

"Oh my God," she said, "Who.."

Just then Spike interrupted her. "I didn't do it, Buffy I promise you." He looked anxiously into her eyes. She lay a reassuring hand on his arm.

"As I was saying...Who do you think you are? I am happy now. Happier than I ever was with you and you just waltz into town and accuse the man I love of...of ...what are you accusing him of again?"

"Hoarding demon eggs. Here, let me show you. They're in the bottom of the crypt," Riley said.

"And how would you know that?" Spike said, "If there's anything down there, you put it there yourself."

"Buffy, who do you believe, me or this...this...thing?!"

She smiled sweetly. "Riley, get the eggs and get the hell out of here. You no longer have a place in Sunnydale," she said. Fuming with rage, Riley stomped down to the basement.

Spike slipped his arms around her waist. "Could you say that again?" he said.

"What? OH.......you mean the part about you being the man I love?"

"That would be it."

"O well," she thought, "here goes nothing. There is never going to be a better time to tell him." She looked straight into his eyes and said, "William Greaves...Spike..I love you with my heart body and soul. You are everything to me." He pulled her into a punishing kiss. Then he rested his forehead against hers and said,"Why don't you get dressed and we'll go home."

"Okay," she said. She began to gather up her clothes.

"Say it again," he whispered. He still half-believed he was dreaming.

"I love you."

Hand-in-hand, they walked through the door of Buffy's house. When they entered the family room they found a suprise waiting for them.

"Bloody hell, love, what is it with you're sodding exes?!!!" Spike exclaimed. In their living room, was assembled the entire L.A. gang.

"Buffy, I need you're help with something," Angel said.

"Doesn't everyone," she muttered. Spike snickered and they sat down on the couch.
