I added Lori's review of the latest Angel novel to the Reviews page. I posted the current results for the Angel Poll. I also added the previous question and answers to the Question Archive.
I am updating the "Guestbook Entry Archive" but it is a slow process because there are so many entries and I have so little time. Still, it is a good problem to have; it really does encourage me to read positive comments from so many people.

Major news on the Angel News page: avoid it if you don't like to read info on DB's personal life. I posted my recap and review of Offspring. I also posted a new Question of the Moment; this time it is in poll form. Also, as of today, I have the guestbook set so that I must approve posts before they are displayed. (I am doing this to hopefully avoid having to go back in and delete fifteen posts addressed to David.)

There are new pictures in the Angel Gallery. On the About This Site page, I added a new button that my affiliate site created. (Thanks!) I organized the Angel News page a little; I'm not finding much news but I am looking. I will post my review of Billy before the end of today. (I liked the episode but apparently I don't have much to say about it.)

There is finally new fanfiction! Chris has completed the "Vanquished" series.
I updated the Angel News page a little. I updated the Message Board rules: you do NOT have to register with ezboard to post a message. (If it asks for a password, just type anything.) I'm not happy with my Billy review at this point, so I'm going to work on it and post it next week.

I have posted my review and recap of "Fredless" and I will post the one for Billy next week. I added "Lullaby" news to the spoilers page. Let me pause to say that I don't think I will like this new Angel equals Daddy storyline. Anyway, I also updated the Awards page. There is a new article about David; the link is on the Angel News page.

I did not get the tape of the shows last week as I hoped. I also haven't heard from my source so I may have to find a completely different one. I have updated the news page. I also reorganized the guestbook archive into sections. (Yes, I am bored without reviews to write.) I added "Quickening" news to the spoilers page. I added a "no spam posts!" rule to the message board.

Last week, the Fox station that showed Angel here decided to stop showing all of their WB programming. As a result, I am in a mad state on many levels as I desperately try to obtain tapes of the shows. I hope, repeat hope, to have "Fredless" and "Billy" by the end of this week.
In other news, I updated the Angel News page. I added a few posting rules to the Angel Board. I also added "Offspring" news to the spoilers page.

I added my review and recap for Carpe Noctem. I added new pictures to the Angel Gallery. I updated the news page. I have posted the newly reorganized Angel News pages. I added some new pictures to the Angel Gallery. I have posted my Episode Recap and Review for "That Old Gang of Mine." I also started a clique - Angelesque - as a place to include the links to other fansites.
On the main site index I added the option for visitors to receive an email notice when this site is updated.

I have added my Episode Recap and Review for "That Vision Thing." I have also posted Lori's review of the Unseen series: a trilogy of crossover books starring Buffy and Angel. I updated the Angel News page. I also added a new Question of the Moment and updated the question archive.
I added two new forums to the Angel Message Board. There is now a place for visitors to post their reviews of or comments about an episode of Angel. I've noticed several posters in my guestbook ask for people to discuss Angel with them; I have added a new forum specifically for pen-pal seekers.

In other news: it's my birthday! How old am I? Here's my standard answer: "twenty-two ... and some change." (That means that I'm a little older than 22.)

I am taking solace in staying busy. I have a nice time-consuming project in organizing the news and news archive pages; I'm far from done, but you can check out what I've done so far on the Angel News page and its links. I also corrected my link to the WB's Angel page; apparently they've reorganized the WB site. It seems a bit bare to me - I wish the WB would put together an Angel site, but I don't see it happening. I updated the About this Site page with a new button for a site that I'm trying to join. If they don't add me to their site soon, I'll remove their button. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that's updating an Angel site (except for the Trinity Gals at the Sanctuary site of course). If I am that's fine with me because it will probably (i.e. hopefully) make this site a popular one. :)
I have been collecting links to Angel fan pages; I realized today that I am starting my own clique. (Note: to me a clique on the Internet is just a collection of related site links perhaps with a theme. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that.) I just need to think of a good place to put it and a good theme. I have got to get a better graphics program. To join my as yet un-named clique, send me the link to your site, but first read the guidelines.

I posted my humble drawing as a tribute to the victims and to the survivors of yesterday's evil and cowardly acts on the main page. There are four stars - one for each plane, a pentagon inside each star and, of course, the twin towers. The flag is meant to be at half-mast but I was having trouble concentrating yesterday and I really wanted to post something to show my support. Not much for this site this week. I was working on updating the news page on Monday, trying to organize it a little better. I've also been updating the news page without changing the "Updated on" date on the main index, so if you have time check for news updates even when none are mentioned.

Twenty more days until the Angel season premiere; I can't wait! I have posted Lori's reviews of two more Angel novels; I appreciate her writing those. (I apologize for the poor quality pictures, which are the result of my inadequate graphics programs. I will replace them with better ones as soon as I can.) I rearranged the layout of the guestbook slightly so that the first page visitors see is the archive page. I made a few corrections on the links page. I have bent my "no info on David's life" rule a bit and updated the news page with the information that we didn't want to hear.

NOTE these guidelines: First of all, the site should be about a character on Angel the Series. I ask that your site be up and running - not "Coming Soon" - and I would like for it to be updated regularly. (I don't stay long on pages that were last updated in 1999.) It would also be appreciated if you would include the link to this site. If you want to suggest someone else's Buffy or Angel (or Wesley, Cordelia, Gunn, etc.) site, feel free to do that as well.

I added some Link to Us buttons on the About this Site page; I plan to create a few more when I have the time. On the Angel News page, I added the link to a recent TV Guide Online article that tells about plans for the upcoming Angel season.
To those of you signing the guestbook: I enjoy reading all of your feedback and wonderful comments about the site. However, I notice that sometimes as many as half of the entries will be directed to David. (I assume that "You are so hot!" is directed to him and not to me, since you don't know what I look like ...) I don't mean to disappoint anyone but the chances of him actually reading those messages are very slim. I would greatly appreciate it if you would put your comments about this site in the guestbook. At the very least you could put a nice comment about David/Angel AND about this site. Thanks!

Major site updates: I believe I added something to just about every page. I revamped the About this Site page and the Main Index. I archived some of the guestbook entries. I added pictures and organized the Angel Gallery. I posted a new Question of the Moment and created an archive for the past entries. I even added a couple of news items.
I have heard your requests to know where to get a copy of the Angel theme song: visit the Who What Why page for the answer.

Just a few minor updates today: News, About this Site, and FAQ. I added a background and some new buttons to the message board; I used some of ezboard's standard ones because I am having trouble linking from their site to the images on this one. (That X at the top of the board should be the Angel's Secrets banner.)
I have a final this week, so I'm going to be busy. I plan to have several updates next week, including a new Question of the Moment, a few more pictures and a more user-friendly picture gallery.

I have updated the Angel's Story page, so that it contains the history of Angel. From that page, you can also read more about Angel and Buffy. I am adding a few more questions and answers to the FAQ page. I've included some sites' banners on the links page; when I last checked my spoilers link, it was working. The guestbook was almost full, so I moved some of the less recent entries to an archive page.

I have created a link on the main page so that visitors can choose to hear the Angel theme song: on the main page, under the big picture of David's face, click on "play" and the theme song will play like it did before. (That's right - it still may be choppy depending on the Internet traffic at the moment.) I've added more questions and answers to the Frequently Asked Questions page. I also updated the Angel News section and I added some new links to the links page. I've noticed that my Spoilers link isn't working right. (It tells me that I'm not authorized to view that page. I guess I was authorized before, because it was working.) I hope to fix that soon because that is a really good site!

I've put the fanfiction in a subdirectory. This won't change anything that you have to do; you can still click on the Creative Works link on the main page. After I moved all of the files, I realized that some people, particularly the authors, probably had links to their work on this site. D'oh! I apologize for that! It's safe to update your links; I'm done "organizing."
I've been reading your comments in the guestbook: I am planning to return the Angel theme soon with the option of letting the visitor turn it on or off. It plays very well on my computer; I guess it's just the Net traffic that interferes. I am also looking for more pics. (Can we ever have enough of David?)
In other news, how long has that extra webring/voting stuff been on the main page under the picture of David's gorgeous face? I only noticed it today. Did I read it correctly? Is this site the number one Angel site at the moment? That is so great! Let's all give a big hand to Chrystal who created this site, because she deserves all of the credit. (Remember, I'm not Chrystal. I'm Anne, and I've only recently taken over as the site administrator.) To all of you who voted for us: THANK YOU! "I'd like to thank the Academy ..." :)

I have updated the links page with the note that the WB has closed their Official Buffy website. At the moment, there is a "thanks for the memories" message to all of us from them. I really hope that they will start an Angel website. At the moment, they have an Angel page/section; I have put that link on the links page also.
In the next week or two, I am planning to try to organize some of the site's files. This shouldn't affect the links on the site, but while I'm organizing, you might get a temporary error message depending on the page that you're looking for. Fear not, I will be working on it. If you keep getting an error message from a link, please let me know.

I have finally added something to the Angel Chat page. It isn't a chat room yet; it's more of an informal survey. The Question of the Moment will be posted on that page and on the main page of the site.
Also on the links page, the WB has posted part 2 in their series about the history of Angel.

I have great news! Anne is taking over the administration of Angel's Secrets! Anne did a great job writing most of last season's reviews. The site will be undergoing some changes over the next few weeks, but they will be completed by the beginning of the upcoming season.
I will miss working on the site, but I am just too busy right now to keep it updated so I'm thrilled that Anne is taking over. I wish her best of luck and I hope that you regular visitors will give her some positive feedback on her hard work. I will miss you all!
Hello, all! This is Anne; my plan is to leave the site's layout pretty much as it is and update the information. The WB has released their Fall schedule and it is worrisome for us Angel fans. Since the sub-network has lost BTVS, they have apparently chosen to sabotage "Angel," instead of cancelling it and letting the show move to UPN. The WB has moved "Angel" to Mondays after "7th Heaven." Angel will have to compete with "Everyone Loves Raymond" and worse, "Monday Night Football." This will challenge the show's fan base and will likely lead to its cancellation at the end of next season which is clearly the WB's goal. Oh well, we'll just have to hang in there, maybe some of the women who watch "7th Heaven" will hang around to see the beautiful David:) We can only hope.

I just read a Yahoo article
about Buffy's move that states that included in the deal is that UPN signs "Angel" to a 2 year contract if the WB cancels the show. I sighed in relief and thought Angel fans would be reassured by this news.

There is some stunning news regarding Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The show will be moving to UPN in Fall 2001. You can read more about BTVS's move on Zap2it.com. Here is the WB's statement about BTVS's move to UPN.
This is news of concern for Angel fans. What does this mean for Angel? Can Angel stand on its own without BTVS in terms of ratings? Will the WB change Angel's day and time as a result? Forget about crossovers between the shows in the future, especially given the bad blood over the move. This really may be the end of Angel and Buffy. The rumormill is that the WB have threatened not to renew any 20th Century shows if BTVS moved. This means that Angel is in danger, but UPN would probably pick it up to strengthen their line up, but it is unlikely that Roswell find another network. This is a troubling development, we just have to wait and see what happens next.

I've finally gotten around to updating the site. The Angel Reviews page has been updated with the last two episode reviews as well as the latest Angel novel review. There is new info on David, Charisma, and J. August Richards (Gunn) on the "Angel News" page.

Happy New Year! I hadn't realized how long it had been since I updated the site. David presented at the "People's Choice" award. I hope at least some of you caught his appearance. He has also been nominated for a TV Guide Award in the category of "Best Actor" so vote for him if you get a chance. TV Guide has just set up a homepage for Angel which has articles on the show as well as spoilers for next week's episode at the bottom.

The February 2001 issue of "Movieline," pp. 62-63 has an one page article on David with a full page wet-shirt picture. Also David is in "Hot!" magazine 2001 50 - Hottest Guys issue, pp. 20-21. Thanks to Lori for this info.
