Buffy befürchtet, Konkurrenz zu bekommen, als in Sunnydale unerwartet eine Vampirjägerin namens Faith auftaucht. Schon bald müssen die beiden gemeinsam auf die Jagd gehen, denn in Sunnydale kommen zwei mysteriöse Fremde an: Kakistos und Mr. Trick. Es stellt sich heraus, dass Faith mit Kakistos noch eine Rechnung offen hat. Er hatte einst Faith' Wächterin getötet. Doch Kakistos scheint übermöchtig. Erst mit Buffys Hilfe kann der Vampir endlich vernichtet werden.
