Buffy und Faith stecken in großen Schwierigkeiten: Die beiden haben eine ganze Bande bewaffneter Vampire auf dem Hals. Doch damit nicht genug: Völlig unerwartet taucht auch noch der neue Wächter Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in Sunnydale auf. Er erklärt Buffy und Faith, dass die Vampire ein Amulett suchen, das dem Gedenken des angeblich toten Dämonen Balthazar gewidmet ist. Die beiden Geisterjägerinnen finden das Amulett und stellen fest, dass der Dämon Balthazar noch quicklebendig ist ...
