Summary:
Having left Sunnydale and the love of his life behind, Angel starts a new life in Los Angeles. Here he meets half demon Doyle who receives visions of people in trouble from The Powers That Be and unlikely as it my seem, finds comfort in the friendly face of Sunnydale It Girl, Cordelia Chase. Having lost her inheritance due to her father forgetting to pay those pesky tax bills she has come to LA to seek fame and fortune as an actress. While waiting for her inevitable stardom she teams up with Angel and Doyle and together they form Angel Investigations.

Faith is on board and after a couple of close encounters finally entices Angel into a fight by capturing and torturing Wesley. But Angel, thinking back to how he himself was saved when his soul was first restored to him, believes that he can save Faith.
