Summary

An outstanding episode, steeped in the question of redemption. Who's redeemable and who isn't? Are there people who are truly evil and beyond redemption? And, of course, where about in these deep and meaningful questions, does Faith fall? This is a total Faith episode with outstanding performances from everyone, but Eliza is literally breathtaking.

Story Line

This Faith episode opens with a gang member approaching figures lit by a fire burning in a trashcan under a bridge. The member asks what they're up to, as the smell is woeful. However, before he can finish, he notes that the figure isn't a friend at all. It's a demon holding the dismembered human arm of (one presumes) his friend. The demon drops the arm into the fire. Breakdown

This episode is awesome. Not only in writing but also acting. Eliza really puts her all into Faith. She's vulnerable, psychotic, alluring and playful.

So let's start from the opening. It's like a mini version of the episode. The gang member is saved from himself thanks to Angel. The only difference is that 'Marquez's' demons are the physical 3D kind. Faiths are buried deep inside. Her own self loathing and misery. Her loss of will to live.
