Happy New Year!!!!!!!!! So we had our break and now we are back to your semi-regular entertainment ;). Check it out, the first two parts of chapter 4. With shiney pictures and everything. And next update the new look for chapter four.

You doubted this day would ever arive(we did too) but I am happy to announce that chapter 3 is now completed. So woo and hoo. Also added a couple of new affiliates and a some new links. Oh and a really shiney tagboard.

Ack, So we said August 1st, but we didn't realize that day fell on a Sunday. And since the store used to scan and get the pages all in is closed we ran into a bit of a snag. Which we apologize for. So good news and bad news. The bad news is, there will not be an update tonight. The good news is, there will with 100% certainty be an update tomorrow. And another next Monday, and another after that ad infinitum. So sit on your hands and hold your breath and be here tomorrow for the Grand Opening.

It’s been a long while since an update, I know. I’ve been really busy though, hammering out plotlines and figuring out the specifics. There was, however a setback involving the art.
If you remember, I touted the use of Poser to create the pictures for the comic. Well, I’ve decided against that, and there are several reasons for my choice. First and foremost is quality. Even the best Poser pics look static as hell, which is something I really don’t want. The faces look great assuming you only want a tiny bit of expression, but the instant someone yells or smiles, it looks like a Barbie doll. The Damned is a dynamic story about certainty, doubt, love, fear, and bullets. (Hey, that read like the back of a book sleeve. I think I have a career.)
The second big reason is time. There’s a reason it takes Pixar 3 years to make a movie. CGI looks great if you have the ungodly buckets of spare time to do the required work. I’m sure you wouldn’t want to wait three months in between issues, either. I know for a fact that my attention span would wane around then.
So here’s the deal: The Damned is being written, penciled, and inked by yours truly, colors done by Wolf. Just to allay some fears, here’s an example from the soon to be released first chapter.
Now, I will say that the style is going to be kind of fluid for a while as I figure out the best look for the series. Normally, I wouldn’t do this, but as the CGI fell through, I’ve had to adapt post-friggin’-haste.
Now for specifics.
The release date of the first part is August 1st.
Each Friday after that, I’ll add another part to the story. So you get one big chunk to get the story started, and each day past that you get what amounts to another scene. Think of it as a serial. There won’t be “issues”, per se, but there will be chapters and clearly defined story arcs.
I think that’s it. August second, I expect to hear scathing reviews and glowing praise from everyone.

Well. After hours that turned into days that turning into weeks (and not in a simple, ‘passage of time’ kind of way), the teaser is finally done. It would have been done earlier, but the fact is, when we started this, we really didn’t have the foggiest clue what we were doing. Now we have exited the land of fog and entered the land of slightly overcast. The pics you see here are the bare minimum in terms of quality that you will see in “The Damned”.
As to when you’re gonna actually see the real series, I can’t give specific date just yet, but I can say that it is going to be ready in two months, with issues coming each month after that. I’ll keep you updated.
Hope y’all dig it. Lemme know what you think.

Added Kennedy's bio, the first of the character bio's. The teaser is in the works. Probably will be up the end of next week.

As you may have noticed, the Teaser for The Damned is not up yet. The
reason for this is a severe virus infection on Oblique's computer, which
pretty much messed up the renders of all the graphics he had done during
his days off work. It will take some time for him to reformat his system
and get everything reinstalled.
We do have some panels ready, but we still do need more graphics to be able
to finish the Teaser. When this will happen will depend very much on how
fast Oblique can get his system back up and running.
Thank you for your patience. We are sorry for the delay and will compensate
for it with some extra goodies. ;)

And speaking of the staff, we have a new recruit. Check out Rebecca's profile on the staff area! She's gonna co-write stuff, and I'm sure I'll come up with some other tasks for her if she's feeling idle...

April 21st, 2004 - Thanks to the furious work of our beloved web monkey, Wolf, this site has reached the stage that it can be opened for the audience.
The webcomic itself is in preproduction phase at the moment, as Oblique is working with fine-tuning of the 3D-models... The teaser will be along any day now.
While waiting for that and the first actual episode, "Scars" (release date Summer 2004), you can catch up with the story so far, or refresh your mind, by reading the fics that lead to this project. Also check out the ruthless interview by yours truly with the grand mastermind himself on the FAQ section for further info about the project.
We've also included short presentations of the current confirmed staff members, and there is going to be more info about the cast of characters as soon as the teaser is done.
