Story Arc: Wesley & Illyria

• Illyria to Wesley: If the world is truly overrun by humans... then I have work to do.
• Illyria: You're too late. My army will rise. This world will be mine once again.
• Illyria: I must learn to walk in this world. I'll need your help... Wesley.

• Wes to Illyria: This world must be a terrible disappointment to you. I'm not too impressed with it myself.
• Illyria: It's too small. It's too small. I can't breathe.
• Wesley: If we look at them for too long they will burn right through us. Truths we couldn't bear. Not every day.

• Angel to Wes: When was the last time you slept? You're not her savior. Fred's dead, Wes. You're still alive. Start acting like it.
• Spike to Illyria RE Wes: Actually, love, we call that scotch. 12-year Lagavulin, if I'm not mistaken. Good choice.
• Illyria to Wes: You are a summation of recollections. Each change is simply a point of experience.
• Illyria to Wes: Are these the memories you needed back? Does this now make you Wesley?

• Wesley to Angel: I wouldn't presume to know what Illyria wants. But I understand the resource, the power she represents.
• Gunn to Wes: I just got my heart cut out of my chest every day for 2 weeks straight. Compared to what?a little jab in the gut? Kinda over it.
• Illyria to Wes: You are my betrayer. When you shattered the Window of Orlon, you meant to change the past
• Illyria to Wes: You tried to murder me. I was there. I saw it.
• Hamilton to Wes: the partners know Illyria, Wesley. Yes. They go way back. Heh. They don't want her here. They don't want her anywhere...at all.
• Wesley: Illyria, this device will draw the energy away from you safely. It will allow you to live.
• Angel to Wes: Wes... I don't like where this is going. I don't like where this has been.

• Illyria: This fate is worse than death. Condemned to live out existence in a vessel incapable of sustaining my true glory.
• Roger Burkle: So where is that prodigal daughter? Out saving the world with that nice Angel fella?
• Illyria: Your grief hangs off of you like rotted flesh. I couldn't tolerate it from them as well. I thought this would be more convenient.
• Wesley to Illyria: Did you get what you needed from that experience?
• Illyria to Wes: You loved this. And part of you still does. I can feel it in you. I... wish to explore it further.

• Illyria to Spike: Do not presume I require any creature's attention.
• Angel to Wes: Well, you know, we can't save everybody, and we can't sweat the small stuff.
