come wander through the BuffyVerse...| Angel: My god. It's you. Connor. from A New World (Season 3) | Next Clip in Episode |
(resume from the end of last episode. A teenage Connor has just dropped from a portal into the Hyperion Lobby, dispatched a monster and leveled a stake-shooting weapon at Angel.)
CONNOR: Hi, dad.
(In slow motion, we see Gunn run for the weapons cabinet. Groo moves to the side to get a clear shot at Connor, swinging his ax. Angel turns towards them, holding out a hand.)
ANGEL: Wait!
(Connor launches two stakes at Angel in quick succession)
ANGEL: No!
(Angel bats the stakes aside; meanwhile Groo's ax flies towards Connor, who bats it aside. Back to realtime.)
CONNOR: Interesting.
(cut to credits. resume)
ANGEL: My god. - It's you. - Connor.
(Connor launches three more stakes at Angel, who ducks and rolls to avoid them.)
CORDELIA: Angel!
(Cordy tosses him a sword, Connor attacks with his blade, Angel parries. Connor scores blows on Groo & Gunn/)
ANGEL: Will you just stop for...
(Connor attacks him, Angel parries)
ANGEL: Can't we just talk about this?
(Connor knocks him down, swings at him)
ANGEL: Wait!
(Angel sends Connor flying, but he catches himself. Groo & Gunn are back on their feet, and along with Angel, they circle Connor)
ANGEL: Okay. Everybody just calm down.
(more scuffling)
GUNN: Angel, if Peter Pan here doesn't stop...
(Connor attacks Gunn, nearly kills him, but Angel knocks him away, gets the advantage, pressing Connor's own weapon to his throat. Suddenly, Angel snaps out of fight-mode and after disarming Connor, slowly backs away from him, trying to process. He offers Connor his hand to help him up, but Connor, confused and panicky, squirms backwards and runs out the front door into the sunlight.
ANGEL: No!
(Angel tries to follow, but Gunn & Groo drag him back into the shadows)
ANGEL: Connor!
GUNN: You're gonna fry out here, man! Come on. We'll go.
(Gunn & Groo reach the street in time to see Connor leap on top of a city bus and ride it off into L.A.)
