DAWN: I'm not going. Blobs of energy don't need an education.
JOYCE: You want me to make you some soup? I think there's some chicken and stars...
DAWN: I'm not sick! I'm not anything.
JOYCE: Honey, calm down, okay...
DAWN: Don't tell me what to do. You're not my mother.
(Joyce looks hurt. Dawn lies back down for a moment, then gets up.)
DAWN: I changed my mind. I'd rather be at school.
(she grabs her backpack and leaves)
