XANDER: Anya, this is crazy. We had a little fight. It just means that we have to work our way through some stuff. It doesn't mean that we rebound with the evil undead.

(Spike looks offended)

XANDER: And what have we been doing with him anyway?

SPIKE: (grinning) Oh, who's the puffed-up manly man? All splotchy and possessive.

ANYA: It's not very convincing, is it?

SPIKE: Yeah. I see now what you said about him earlier. No follow-through.

XANDER: (loudly) Hey! What a surprise! Hostile 17! Can I get you a drink, Hostile 17?

(Spike looks around anxiously to see if anyone heard.)

ANYA: Xander, stop.

(reassured that noone noticed, Spike regains his swagger)

SPIKE: Pfft! Well, may be some fun to be had in the lion's den after all. You two keep scraping. I'll find the liquor.

(he heads off)
