JILL: (to her young daughter) Careful with the knife.

AMANDA: It's not even sharp.

JILL: It's sharp enough. (to Nina, stumbling groggily in) Hey, look who's up.

NINA: How long was I out for?

JILL: All day. I figured you must be sick. Zach called. He said he missed you in life drawing.

NINA: That's nice.

JILL: Why is your neck purple?

NINA: I don't know.

JILL: Is there something you want to tell me?

NINA: No. I...I must've tripped on my run. (glancing at the hamburgers on the stove) Don't overcook the meat.

AMANDA: Ooh, can I flip?

JILL: Ask Auntie Nina to help. (to Nina) Hey, are you sure you're up for watching Amanda tonight? I could try to change shifts.

NINA: No, I... I just needed to...

(Nina is distracted by the still-rare burgers)

AMANDA: Aunt Nina?

(Nina has a quick vision of Amanda with her throat slashed by claw marks.)

AMANDA: Are you OK?

NINA: I'm fine. I'm fine.
