ALLY: You know, I consider myself independent and it's hard for me to ask for help, but - it really feels good for you guys to be in the house. You know that woman you work with was right. You inspire confidence.

WESLEY: Which woman?

ALLY: Brunette, really cute, Texan maybe?

GUNN/WES: (smiling) Fred.

GUNN: Said I inspire confidence.

WESLEY: Actually, I-I believe the comment was directed at me.

GUNN: Really? 'cause I don't think so.

ALLY: (RE Photo) Here, this is Brian. Not exactly a rocket scientist, but, ah, he's so sweet. You ever meet somebody and you just know that you belong together? It just feels...

GUNN/WES: Comfortable.

WESLEY: You read all the same science journals.

GUNN: You laugh at the same dumb jokes.

ALLY: And the sex. Oh, god, do I miss the sex.

GUNN: (muttering) Tell me about it.

WESLEY: Hmm.

ALLY: So, explain something to me. How can Brian be stalking me if he's dead?

WESLEY: There are any number of explanations. Witchcraft, black magic, voodoo, zombiefication, demon possession, even vampirism.

ALLY: But why? Why is he hanging around here? What does he want?

WESLEY: Perhaps there is something he left unfinished, something he wants to tell you.

GUNN: Or maybe he just wants to eat your intestines.

WESLEY: Gunn. We don't know that he's a zombie, and besides the flesh eating is a myth. Zombies merely mangle, mutilate and occasionally wear human flesh. So there is no reason to be frightened until we have a better idea...

(The door, beside which Wes is standing, cracks open and a pale hand grabs a hold of him. Wes throws himself against the door, trying to force it shut again.)

WESLEY: Gunn!

(Gunn runs over and starts to beat on what's visible of Brian with his baseball bat. Brian retreats and they slam the door shut.)

WESLEY: Right then. Zombie it is.
