(Fred takes a shower. Spike stands nearby, talking to himself)

SPIKE: Why did it kill her? Reaper's supposed to take souls, not make 'em. If it's come for me...couldn't have been worried she was gonna help. She didn't even know I was there. Unless it wasn't about me. Fred, I think I know why it killed her. It was trying to hide something, something it didn't want you to know because—

(he reaches out, but to his surprise, his hand is stopped by the glass of the shower wall. On his second try, his hand goes through as usual)

SPIKE: Come on. Just...reach out.

(he concentrates, manages to trace letters in the condenscation. Fred turns, sees "REAPER" written. The glass shatters & Spike goes flying.)
