(Gunn & Fred run towards the truck, climb in)

GUNN: You okay?

FRED: No. You?

GUNN: Nope.

FRED: Nice we still do these things together.

GUNN: (driving) How're we doing?

(A vampire lands on the hood of the truck.)

FRED: About the same. Charles!

GUNN: Hang on!

(Swerves, dislodges the vamp, stops and gets out.)

GUNN: (to vamp) Your ass better be insured!

VAMP: Now you ought to be worried about your own ass, mister! Couple of warm bloods rolling down *my* street, hustling my hermanos? Ain't gonna fly, homey!

FRED: We're just looking for the girl.

GUNN: Tell us where she is and we're gone.

VAMP: Who? Marissa? I thought you guys were supposed to be a couple of detectives. Or was that before your little buddy Angel went bye-bye?

GUNN: We found you, didn't we?

VAMP: Yeah, and look what it got you!

FRED: (aiming a cross bow) We just want to talk to her, that's all.

VAMP: Condemned building on Figueroa, top floor. And tell her I want my CDs back, yeah?

GUNN: We'll pass it along.

VAMP: Nah, you know what? Better yet...I think I'll tell her myself! (grabs Fred) Angel left you a little toy toy, huh?

FRED: More than one.

(Fred stakes him using Angel wrist-stake-launcher)

FRED: Charles!

(they fight, dust all but one vamp. Vamp throws Gunn's ax at Fred, but Connor appears, snatches it midair and sends it back to dust the vamp)

CONNOR: (grinning widely) Did you see that? Wasn't that cool? Ha, ha! That was cool!
