ANGEL: Hi.

BUFFY: Angel... So, are you shopping? You're probably not shopping.

ANGEL: I couldn't sleep.

BUFFY: Vampires probably not that big on Christmas, now that I think about it.

ANGEL: Not as a rule.

BUFFY: But you're good?

ANGEL: I'm, I'm alright. You?

BUFFY: Yeah! (smiles) Yeah, I'm good. I, um, I was just getting some Christmas gifts for the gang.

Angel's attention is diverted to behind Buffy. In the middle of the street he sees an apparition of Daniel looking sadly back at him.

BUFFY: Um, I'd better go before the magic store closes. Angel?

She looks behind herself and sees nothing.

BUFFY: What is it?
