(Wesley, in a wheelchair, is in danger: a demon is watching through his apartment window. He hears banging, voices. He manages to get a shotgun and load it, levels it at the door as:)

WESLEY: Angel!

ANGEL: Invite me in! I've never been here before, Wesley, you have to invite me in!

WESLEY: (lowering his gun) Well, perhaps if you'd shown a bit of interest...

ANGEL: Wesley...

(A demon crashes through the window.)

WESLEY: Yes. No. Absolutely. I invite you in. *In* I invite you!

(Two Skilosh demons attack, Angel fights them off Wesley.)

ANGEL: Do you know what these things are?

WESLEY: I believe the third eye indicates adult Skilosh, though this is the first time I've had occasion to...

ANGEL: How do I kill them?

WESLEY: Well, uhm, there are a number of ways...

ANGEL: (Flying into wall.) Wesley!

WESLEY: Yeah, right, yes, uh, ah, (as a demon grabs him by the throat) hack it to pieces!

(Angel grabs an ax, gives a Skilosh forty whacks. Wesley blasts the other with his shotgun.)

WESLEY: I think I got it. (Looks at apartment, now festooned with demon goo.) I can only pray Mrs. Starns isn't at home.

(Wesley and Angel look at each other. A smile starts to spread over Wesley's face, then disappears.)

WESLEY: What are you doing here?
