(Angel enters his apartment. Darla's waiting for him)

ANGEL: What do you want, Darla? You want this?

(He tosses down the ring of Blacknil. Before she can get it, he grabs her arm and sends her reeling.)

ANGEL: Or maybe what you really want is this!

(He pushes her up against his apartment wall and gently brushes the hair back from her face)

ANGEL: That may be - what you really want, isn't it?

(They kiss.)

DARLA: (Pushing him away.) Don't play games with me.

ANGEL: I'm not playing. I just wanna feel something besides the cold.

(They kiss, he starts to strip; she pushes him off again.)

ANGEL: Why're you laughing?

(She doesn't answer. He knocks her into the bedroom, follows, stands over her.)

ANGEL: Don't you feel the cold?

DARLA: What're you doing?

ANGEL: It doesn't matter. None of it matters.

(He kisses her again and she responds. They fall onto the bed.)
