Cordy: It's still early... in Australia from Expecting (Season 1) | Next Clip in Episode |
CORDELIA: Well, here we are. Thank you for the club, and for driving me home, and listening to my entire life's story. I think I may have left out a couple of weeks in early 1987, but...
WILSON: I had a great time, and you didn't talk too much, and I want to know everything about you.
CORDELIA: Me, too. I mean, about you, not... because I already know, um, about me...
(They kiss.)
WILSON: Call you tomorrow?
CORDELIA: Uhm, you don't have to...
WILSON: What, call you?
CORDELIA: Go home? I mean, right away? It's still early...in Australia. Will you come in?
WILSON: Nice.
CORDELIA: Yeah, compared to my old apartment, it's Buckingham Place.
WILSON: You live alone, right?
(Cordelia dims the lights, but they come back up.)
CORDELIA: In the sense that I'm the only one living here that's actually alive.
WILSON: That was a yes, I think.
(She tries again and the same thing happens.)
CORDELIA: Wiring. Old buildings.
WILSON: Oh, no worries. Besides I - I like looking at you.
CORDELIA: Look the truth is that my dating game skills are kind of rusty. You're the first person I've had over in a long... well, - ever. So, I'm open to suggestions.
WILSON: Music?
CORDELIA: Right. Music.
(She turns on romantic music and the station jumps.)
WILSON: Hey, that's some jaunty Polka.
WILSON: Oh, I know, I know, the wiring.
CORDELIA: How about some tea?
WILSON: That'd be great.
CORDELIA: Okay.
CORDELIA: (in kitchen) All right, Dennis, *knock it off*! This is the one guy, I've actually liked in a long time, and if you keep killing the mood, I'll kill *you*! All right, empty threat, you being a ghost and already dead and all. But I'll do something *worse*! I'll play 'Evita' around the clock. The one with *Madonna*!
WILSON: Who are you talking to?
CORDELIA: Uhm...my ghost. I have a ghost. He's jealous. Kidding. The apartment's great, but things are always breaking and, uhm, and I have no one to complain to, so sometimes *just* to keep myself company I talk to myself.
(Wilson kisses her.)
