FRED: That's from eight months ago. The red spots are what they call hot areas or what you'd expect from a healthy, functioning brain. This one is dated one month ago.

GUNN: Cordelia's doctors couldn't explain it.

FRED: (showing the next scan which is mostly green and yellow) You see - green is a cold color, u-usually signifying dead areas of the cerebrum. N-normally you wouldn't see a scan like that...

GUNN: 'Less the person was a cucumber.

ANGEL: How coulda we not know?

LORNE: (enters moaning) Oh, for the love of God, somebody get me a sea-breeze.

(His clothes are torn, his left horn dangling by a thread.)

FRED: Lorne! What happened?

LORNE: I can't really talk about it.

GUNN: Then how we supposed to find them so we can kick their asses?

LORNE: Ah, no. I mean I *can't* talk about it. They cast a spell. I went down to the lo...(his speech turns to incoherent mumbling) See?

ANGEL: Did you get the information?

LORNE: Oh, why yes, Angel. My horn should grow back in a coupla days. So kind of you to be concerned. Well, they didn't say I couldn't write it.

(Angel takes Lorne's piece of paper, heads for the door.)

LORNE: Angel, all kidding aside, this isn't something to be taken lightly. Only a champion can deal with the conduit. And even then you have to la-argh arr...

ANGEL: I'll keep that in mind.
