Notes: Angel discovers Kate's father is mixed up in something shady, unearthing memories of his own father. Plot Highlights: (flashback) Liam is reprimanded for his debauchery. Kate finds her father snooping around a demon-crime scene. (flashback) Darla spots Liam brawling at a tavern. Wesley ids the demon. Kate is incooperative with Angel's wish to further investigate. Angel tails a delivery guy, spots Kate's dad. (flashback) Liam gets kicked out. Lockley pumps his daughter for info. (flashback) Darla welcomes Angelus from Liam's grave. Cordy installs a security system. Druggy demons attack. (flashback) Angelus kills Liam's family. Vamp drug pushers kill Lockley. Kate goes after the pushers, Angel helps her. (flashback) Darla explains some things to Angelus. Memorable Moments: Darla's admiration as she spots Liam in a drunken brawl; his silly lear as he tries to stumble towards her, only to be knocked out with crockery... Tears and recrimination with the family Liam as he leaves home for good. Angelus gets back at the old man... Trevor Lockley dies, despite Angel's attempts to save him, just before Kate can arrive... Darla's lesson for Angelus, that "what we once were informs all that we have become"

NOTES ON EPISODE ART: CREATED 09/2003 ~Since Kate's relationship with her father served to dredge up all those memories of Angel's father, I wanted to cover both in the collage. The shot of Angel's father is from Liam's funeral. I've also got a bit of the funeral itself over on the left, and of course Darla vamping Angel over in the bottom right corner. Kate finding her drained father and Angel arguing with his before heading off to become Darla's victim rounds out the picture. Caps are from Lessa at seaimpins.com. For texture, I used custom brushes from insomniac brushes.
