<Episode 96: Destiny (Angel, the Series)>

Spike & Angel compete for the title of "Vampire with Soul" of Shanshu fame.

Plot Highlights:

1880, Drusilla introduces William to Angelus. Spike gets a box in the mail that makes him corporeal. 1880, Angelus & William share a carriage ride. Eve makes with the exposition. Harmony goes bloody-eyed in the midst of her Spike nooner. Sirk explains a "new" part of the Shanshu prophecy. Spike gets a head start. Gunn chats with Eve. 1880, William finds Angelus with his ladylove. In the deserted desert opera house, the extended knock-down drag out between Spike & Angel begins. 1880, Angelus explains the rules of vampire life to William. Gunn becomes possessed, chokes Eve. More fighting at the opera house. Fred ministers to Eve. Spike beats Angel, drinks from the Cup of Torment, realizes its a fake. Back at W&H, Sirk is gone, and the mysterious possessions clear up. Eve explains. Angel admits his shanshu uncertainty to Gunn. Eve goes home, slips into bed with... drumroll please... Lindsey.

Memorable Moments:

• 1880, William & Angelus meet, and decide they're going to be best friends.
• Spike's all-around enthusiasm upon finding himself suddenly corporeal again.
• Sirk belittling Angel's intelligence for thinking himself a Shanshu expert after having read an English translation.
• Spike getting the jump on Angel's plan and stealing his car.
• 1880, William walking in on Angelus and Drusilla. Angelus lecture in Vampire ethics.
• Spike & Angel, battling it out with words and blows in the desert opera house; Spike's eventual victory, only to find the 'prize' is a fake.
• Angel confessing his loss to Gunn.
• Eve coming home and slipping into bed with none other than Lindsey McDonald.
