Another Halloween in Sunnydale: Xander & Anya announce their engagement, Dawn sneaks off on a double date, Tara & Willow argue about Willow's overuse of magic.

Plot Highlights:

Pirate Xander, Charlie's Angel Anya, Witch-stereotype combatting Willow at the Magic Box Halloween rush. Buffy misinterprets Spike's suggestion. Giles makes Buffy bag purchases. Xander announces the engagement. Willow decorates with magic, Tara calls her on it. Dawn sneaks out, meets Justin. Giles advises Xander. Dawn & co get caught smashing old man Kaltenbach's pumpkin, get invited inside. Justin vamps out. Buffy & Xander chat, Buffy decides to patrol. Justin & Dawn chat. Giles discovers Dawn's missing. Dawn's first kiss. Tara & Willow argue at the Bronze. Buffy fetches Spike. Giles stakes the vamp munching on Janice, finds Dawn & a bunch of vamps. Buffy & Spike show up. Fighting & dusting. Dawn stakes Justin. Buffy makes Giles give Dawn "the talk". Willow casts a spell to make Tara forget they've been arguing.

Memorable Moments:

• Buffy's misinterpretation of Spike's "bit of a rough and tumble" offer. Also the leather collar, spice theft, Great Pumpkin & "so much easier to talk to when he wanted to kill me" lines.
• Xander's announcement of his engagement to Anya, including the funny little asides such as Buffy's lame peg leg comment, the revelation of why Giles is constantly cleaning his glasses & the dance of capitalist superiority.
• Giles stumbling around the misty cemetary, but still managing to stake vamps like a pro
• Buffy & Dawn squabbling as the encircling vampires stand around getting impatient for the fight.
• Willow & Tara's on-going arguments, especially the one at the Bronze and that final shocking spell that Willow casts on Tara.
