<Episode 125: Same Time, Same Place>

Willow returns to Sunnydale & meets Gnarl, the skin-eating demon.

Plot Highlights:

Dawn, Xander & Buffy go to meet Willow's flight, but they don't see each other. A demon attacks a boy. Willow wanders around the empty Summers home; meanwhile Dawn, Buffy & Xander worry about Willow's being missing, also in the empty Summers home. Willow tracks Anya down. Xander finds a body. Willow finds Spike. Buffy & Xander find Spike. Willow asks for Anya's help. Dawn does demon research. Spike plays bloodhound. Dawn gets paralyzed. Gnarl attacks Willow. Anya reveals Willow's whereabouts. Buffy kills the demon. Wounded Willow reappears. Buffy helps Willow meditate.

Memorable Moments:

• Willow and Anya bonding, finding common ground, first outside the magic box and then later at Anya's apartment, esp. Anya's admission that the vengeance isn't so satisfying as it once was and the visual and verbal allusions to early spellcasting with Tara.
• Spike's double simultaneous conversation with Willow and with Buffy/Xander not being quite as crazy when you realize what's going on...
• Memorable, but in a "eww, don't wan't to see *that* again" sorta way: Willow's skin being ripped off her and eaten by Gnarl.
• Hours of fun with poseable Dawn. Now with limbo action.
