<Episode 143: End of Days>

Buffy acquires and investigates a shiny new weapon.

Plot Highlights:

Buffy King Arthurs the scythe. Potentials regroup post-explosion. Andrew raids the grocery store. Buffy saves the Potentials. Triage chez Summers. Buffy charges Xander with a mission. Willow & Giles research the scythe. Xander chloroforms Dawn. The First and Caleb merge. Faith and Buffy have a heart-to-heart. Spike and Buffy have a heart-to-heart. Anya and Andrew raid the hospital for supplies. Buffy meets the Guardian, who is then killed by Caleb. Angel arrives.

Memorable Moments:

• The wind going out of Caleb's sails when Buffy easily lifts the scythe free from the rock.
• Anya's casual tossing of phrases like "mortally wounded" around much to the confusion of the potential she's tending. Andrew's subsequent resolve to go on a hospital mission.
• Xander's losing track of his "out to pasture" metaphor and letting it meander to far into the literal.
• Buffy and Spike's têt-à-têt RE: the previous nights cuddle-session.
• Andrew's awed declaration the Anya is the perfect woman and her matter of fact reaction; his taunting her with loving humans; the wheelchair fight.
• Buffy and Angel tumbling into liplock as Spike watches from the shadows.
