NOTES ON EPISODE ART: CREATED 11/2002 ~well, nothing to shockingly original here except perhaps the sheer number of caps. 29, to be precise. I think that may be some sort of personal record... usually I like to pick the dominant story of the episode and use that for the episode collage, rather than making a schitzo collage trying to convey too many things at once, but in this case, there really wasn't any clear decision in my mind as to which of the "conversations" was most important, so I decided to try to work them *all* in there. Hopefully the result is not too chaotic, or least, chaotic, but not incomprehensibly so. I'm hoping that that the strong image of Demon-Thing-Cassie will anchor the piece, snagging your attention first and then leading you to delve into the murky overlays throughout the rest...

Angie Hart soundtrack. Jonathan & Andrew return from Mexico. Dawn home-alone hijinks. Cassie approaches Willow. Dawn faces creepy appliances. Vampire recognizes Buffy (mid-fight) from high school. Jonathan & Andrew break into Sunnydale High. Warren instructs Andrew. Cassie & Willow chat about Tara, Willow's magic use, etc. Buffy chats with Holden (the vamp) about her relationships. Spike meets a woman at a bar. Dawn tries to cast a demon out for a chance to talk to Joyce. Jonathan and Andrew unearth a symbol. Holden reveals Spike sired him, Spike bites the woman, Cassie advises Willow to commit suicide, Joyce tells Dawn not to trust Buffy, Andrew kills Jonathan.
Memorable Moments:

Dawn eating pizza against Buffy's instructions and singing a cute little anchovy song, getting sauce on Buffy's shirt, putting a hole in the wall with a misfiring crossbow.
Buffy baring her soul to Holden -- despite his frequent and humorous admissions of evilness -- finally letting us into some of what's going on inside her head.
Cassie pushing Willow's buttons, Willow's reactions.
Creepy white-faced, dead Joyce and bloody-mouthed Dawn casting a demon out to 'save' her...
Jonathan's inner peace as he declares himself committed to helping his fellow man whether or not they care about him. Followed by his shocking murder, blood dripping all over the arcane symbol buried beneath the high school.
Joyce telling Dawn not to trust Buffy.
Cassie dropping the act, promising Very Bad Things.
Buffy being told that Spike is Holden's sire just as we see Spike snacking on his new lady friend.
