Plot Highlights:

Buffy arrives, unhappy about Angel's cross-over skulking. A Mohra demon attacks. Buffy & Angel track it through the sewers. Angel's infected by its blood, becomes human. Angel delights in food. Angel consults the Oracles. Angel & Buffy rekindle the romance. Cordelia bemoans her unemployment. Angel goes to kill the demon by himself, but Cordy lets the secret slip, and Buffy shows up in time to save him. Angel asks the Oracles to take back his mortality. Angel tells Buffy about his decision; the clock strikes and he turns into a pumpkin. um, wait, no... time skips back and no one except Angel remembers that he was human for a day.

Memorable Moments:

  • Cordelia's close scrutiny of Angel for signs his encouter with Buffy has pushed him off the deep end. Her dismisal of the demon's attacking as just more of the same old "Buffy and Angel show". Her "all about me" reaction to Angel's humanizing.
  • Angel's delight with food
  • Buffy and Angel's "let's be mature" stance crumbling.
  • Angel convincing the Oracles to make him what he was.
  • Buffy vowing to "never forget", but not being able to help it.

NOTES ON EPISODE ART: CREATED 07/2003 ~I decided there were enough collages out there of teary Buffy promising never to forget, so I decided to focus more on the rare glimpse of Happy Angel we got instead... And the Oracles, well I liked the Oracles, so here they are, looking cool and dramatic. For texture, I used a photo of old paper from the triberadio stock image collection and some screenshots of the various clocks shown in the episode and of the Oracle's shiny entry hall, and custom brushes from insomniac brushes. Caps are from buffyfanfic.de.
