Notes: The Watcher's Council imposes a birthday challenge on Buffy by neutralizing her Slayer powers & releasing a crazy vamp. Plot Highlights: Buffy & Angel spar w/ french bread. Giles hyponotizes Buffy & injects her. Buffy nearly gets staked by a vamp. Buffy's ice show plans get cancelled. Cordelia saves a weakened (& freaked) Buffy. Giles voices doubts to Quentin. Angel reveals that he saw Buffy called. Kralik escapes, chases Buffy. Giles saves her, reveals he's been injecting her. Kralik kidnaps Joyce. Buffy tricks Kralik into drinking Holy Water. Quentin fires Giles.

NOTES ON EPISODE ART: CREATED 02/2003 ~ I really liked the shot of Buffy with the cross, such a nice blend of desparation and battered determination, so I started with that. Then had to hit the other major players in this ep, namely: Giles, Quenten, Kyrek & Joyce. I used a lot of bits and pieces from other caps with boarded up windows, walls, blinds, etc to fill in texture here and there, and then started playing with the colors, which wanted to go brownish.Caps used in this collage are courtesy of sounds of silence, buffyverse.info & Jessica's Captures.
