Giles spearheads an effort to deal with Spike's brainwashing with help from Principal Wood.
Plot Highlights:

Flashback: Punk Spike vs Nikki. Wood, Buffy & Giles chat at the highschool. Magic stone slithers into Spike's eye. Flashback: Spike's doting sickly mother. Flashback: bringing Dru home to meet mother. Wood enlists Giles. Giles distracts Buffy. Wood fights Spike. Flashback: Spike's vamped mother says some nasty bits to him. Spike lets Wood live, Buffy warns him not to try it again. Buffy rejects Giles.

Giles' paroxysms over the new computer-heavy school library.
