Buffy thinks she accidently killed a girl.

Plot Highlights:

Comparatively pleasant morning after with Spike. Trio gets their cerebral dampner running. Buffy asks Tara to see if she came back wrong. Warren zaps Katrina. Dawn passes on Buffy's offer to hang out. Katrina snaps out of the spell, Warren accidently kills her. Buffy tries to hang with the gang at the Bronze, ends up in the shadows with Spike. Willow runs into Tara. The "door" scene. Buffy thinks she's killed Katrina. Buffy tells Dawn she's turning herself in. Spike tries to stop her, she beats him to a pulp. She realizes she was framed, Scoobies investigate. Tara tells Buffy that she didn't come back wrong, & she breaks down crying, reveals her secret. btw: There's an old song called You Always Hurt the One You Love. Anyone know which came first, the song or the saying? 2/2003: someone's done some research for me and found that the song was written in 1944, words by Allan Roberts, music by Doris Fisher.

You can get the Bush "door scene" song ("Out of This World") at LA's Web.

Memorable Moments:

  • Buffy & Spike actually having a pleasant post "monster wrestling" conversation, without her kicking him in the head and running out, virtue fluttering.
  • Katrina's venemous rejection of Warren when he first sleezes up to her at the bar, and her later even more venemous and well deserved diatribe against the Trio's sick agenda.
  • The Geek Trio's various reactions to Katrina's death: Warren's panicked, then calculating skin-saving; Andrew's tearful initial reaction and then dawning evilness as he realizes how easy it was to get away with it; Jonathan's crisis of conscious as he realizes just what he's gotten himself into.
  • Dawn's desperate unhappiness as Buffy reveals that she's turning herself in, echoing her words in Forever. Her refusal to forgive and forget when the truth about the frame-job comes out.
  • Spike's efforts to help Buffy and prevent her from turning herself in; his final decision to let Buffy thrash him without fighting back. (Reminds me a bit of Riley asking Buffy to let it all out at the hospital)
  • Buffy's teary break-down when Tara reveals that she didn't come back wrong (and thus is responsible for everything she's done since, negating the oft-used "that was the spell" excuse)
