Angelus gets his hands on a dormant demon (Acathla) and decides to send the world to hell by waking him up.Plot Highlights:
Flashbacks: Darla makes Angelus, Angelus meets Dru. Acathla is unearthed, Angelus snags him. Buffy finds Jenny's soul-returning spell. Kendra comes to town. Flashback: Whistler takes Angel to see Buffy called. Angelus' attempt to wake Acathla fails, so he distracts Buffy while Dru kills Kendra and kidnaps Giles.
Memorable Moments:
- Flashback: Darla luring drunken Liam into an ally for his transformation into Angelus.
- Xander's Fish stick theater, "zee language of love", a chair shortage and a killer Synder slam from Cordelia all in one scene.
- Angelus' messing with human Drusilla's head, cutting to present Dru; the moon whispering to her, with a little help from Spike's morning papers.
- Xander ticking everyone off by championing the un-popular forget-the-curse-let's-kill-Angelus p.o.v.
- Spike's snarky jabs at Angelus: the "it's a big rock" line and especially the wonderfully insulting "someone wasn't worthy" sing-song.
- Angelus' mocking "and you fall for it every time!" to Buffy as she runs to the fallen Kendra's side.
