A college frat tries to sacrifice Buffy & Cordelia to the snake-like Machida (aka Reptile Boy)

Plot Highlights:

Hindi TV. Surroundssound Angel dreams. Giles resists Buffy's pouting for more free time. Cordelia introduces Buffy to frat boys. Angel gives his fairy tale speech. Buffy lies to Giles. Cordy & Buffy go to the frat party, get drugged. Xander gets hazed. Willow tells Giles & Angel off. Machida is killed. Giles & Buffy reconcile. Angel's willing to have coffee.

Quick Review:

I think this episode is generally underrated because the main plot (demon worshipping frat boys) isn't that compelling. But rewatching it recently, I think I've decided that all the gleeful peripheral elements more than make up for that. The Memorable Moments list below can't even begin to cover all the clever one liners and classic exchanges that happen in this episode. We get great Xander/Cordelia sparring, tons of classic "me, me, it's all about me" Cordelia-ness, Xander/Angel sniping (esp. that last line at the Bronze!), Giles trying to resist Buffy's pouting, Xander's white knight mission gone wrong, a hilarious little Willow verbal explosion and others I'm probably forgetting. Forget drama, forget the demon-of-the-week; watch this episode for the incidental hilarity...

Memorable Moments:

• Xander's approval that Buffy's *not* going on a date with Angel turning to dismay as he realizes she's going to a frat party instead ("Frying pan, fire? You know what I'm sayin'?")
• Willow & Xander discussing Xander's plan to follow Buffy to the frat party, esp. Willow's dead pan "maybe catch an orgy?"
• Willow's spazzy blow-up and Giles & Angel for their recent treatment of Buffy.
• Giles' realization that "let that be a lesson" is redundant
• Angel sheepishly slinking into the Bronze to ask Buffy if she wants to get cofee.
