The gang is reunited, overthrows Pylean High Priest Silas, and goes home.Plot Highlights:
Lorne's severed head can be stuck back on his body, with no lasting harm - if Cordelia
can find the body before it is mutilated. She disguises herself as a serving wench, hides the head in a bucket & searches the mutilation chamber, only to be rescued by Groo. Wesley & Gunn convince the rebels they're good guys, and Wesley is made the new rebel leader; then Angel and
Fred join them and they all plan to storm the castle. But to create a
diversion, Angel challenges
the groosalug, and the Angel-beast and Groo end up fighting to the death while Cordelia screams from the window. Cordy and Wes kill the high priest just in time to
save all the Pylean cow-
slaves from having their heads blown off ... and Cordelia flings herself
between Angel and Groo,
crying out, "I love him!" Nevertheless, she hands her throne over to
Groo
and the gang (with a
Lorne whose head and body have been reunited) go home, leaving Groo behind
but taking Fred
along. Sadly, Willow is waiting for them, with the news of Buffy's death.
