Notes:

Spike's secret love for Buffy slips out; Drusilla comes to town.
Plot Highlights:

Spike tries to hang at the Bronze. Dawn hangs out with Spike. Buffy lectures Dawn, who slips her the truth. Spike & Buffy go on a stake-out. Buffy rejects Spike. Drusilla stops by for a chat. Spike & Dru go to the Bronze. Spike gets Dru & Buffy tied up. Harmony arrives on the scene, a brawl ensues. Buffy locks Spike out.
Quick Review:

Rarely does an episode stay so focussed on one story-line without little breaks to move others along; and so if you're not fond of the whole Spike-in-lurv thing, this is certainly not the ep for you. But the rest of us are in for an excellent hour of quality lurv-angst, with some great Dawn and Dru scenes thrown in for extra kick. This is one of my favorites for the season, and is a must-see to fully appreciate the later "Intervention" and to a certain extent "the Gift".
Memorable Moments:

Spike in business casual trying to hang out with Buffy at the Bronze.
Spike not wanting Dawn hanging out with him (and choking at the idea that she feels safe with him) but becoming interested when he realizes he can pump her for info about Buffy.
Xander's hysterical laughing fit at the idea that Spike might be in love with Buffy.
Spike's failed "date" with Buffy & his subsequent unwelcomed declaration of his feelings.
Harmony insulting Dru (cheap queen of the damned), Dru's "boo-boo?" to Spike over Harmony's shoulder and later her encouragment of Harmony as she beats on Spike ("that's right little girl, teach our naughty boy a lesson!").
Spike & Dru at the Bronze, Spike having a good time being ultra cool again until the snacking begins and a twinge of guilt kicks in.
Spike's impassioned ranting at the tied-up Buffy & Dru.
Buffy locking Spike out of her house with a revoked invitation.

NOTES ON EPISODE ART: CREATED 01/2002 ~Well, not the best collage I've ever done, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of how to work special effects in without being too abstract. I'm afraid I'm a bit old school that way in that I like art to look like stuff. What I've been doing of late is getting the layout, making a duplicate copy and adding textures, filters, etc, and then fading it into the main version by increasing the transparancy and using masks to block the effect off the more salient facial features. I think it goes a long way to blending different images with different lighting and backgrounds together...
