Quick Review:
A truly classic episode, the first of the intense BuffyAngel lurveangst plot that spawned a million web-sites. Not much else here besides that, but that's probably besides the point. A good first episode to use to initiate a friend into Buffy fanatacism, and to watch again to remind yourself how it all started...
Memorable Moments:
- Xander making a fool of himself at the Bronze, Cordelia calling him on it but him managing to escape with a parting shot that hit the target.
- Buffy & Angel's bandaging/flirting session after escaping the Three.
- Angel's half-revelation that it was vampires that killed his family.
- Buffy & Angel's first kiss turning into a growl/scream affair.
- Xander substituting "umpire" for "vampire" in an unnecessary attempt to fake Cordelia out.
- The Buffy & Angel confrontation/reconciliation, brought to a close with Angel's staking of Darla
- Buffy & Angel's second kiss at the Bronze, Buffy's cross burning Angel's chest.
