Salvation caught the last train out tonight.

He knew where he was headed, Sunnydale, California. He could feel it. The pull on his heart like a compass needle pointing north. What he didn't know was what he’d do once he got there.

The hurt, the all consuming anger within cried for justice, for revenge. His heart just ached for one more glimpse, one last caress.  Maybe even a chance to find out why?

He stood in the shadows watching as they emerged from the school building. The children veered off leaving Rupert standing alone.

His eyes closed; his heart reeled.
